Lots being said, guesses and prophecies on who'd win it this year ! Going by the record and the forms of the top 6 teams (India, South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, England and Pakistan ) here are my picks:
a) Australia - simply unbeatable b) South Africa - very balanced team c) India - despite a good team, extreme pressure and expectations would weigh on the team - and you know what happens then d) Sri Lanka - the underdogs
None of the remaining teams except England is capable of spiining a surprise !
I still remember the way Dhoni leads the team against Bagladesh in the world cup league stage. I hope no one can remember that horrible match... ha... ha... ha... still everybody is praising dhoni is a great captain... I can tell one thing, he is the only luckiest captain in the planet ever ever have....

well suresh your memory certainly has suffered long term memory loss. FYI dravid was captain in the 2007 WC.
Have you seen Lays ad by Saif and Dhoni? When Saif asks who will win this world cup,Why is Dhoni raises banner of India and then flips the other side to show south Africa. It seems that it is already planned world cup final between India and South Africa. 101% sure that it will be a India-SA final

agree with u, this happend for first 20 20, before inuagration the TV host played drama assuming India and Pakistan in final and that happend excatly.
he is just stating the obvious ...too much hype being created about India's chances ...no one is missing a chance to speak ...raina, kohli, idiot bhajji, praveen kumar who is calling dhoni 'obama' of indian team ....
now someone would say weather will play an important part ..
