Cricket is balancing
by Gandhi on Dec 27, 2011 05:04 AM  | Hide replies

Aussies are at the receiving end of Umpiring decisions now. Cant help that the more is to come yet, May be during Indian inning you will find big batsman let off with a snick.
Aussies have benifitted a lot from Unpiring mistakes, it is time to suffer a bit to compensate. Why cry. Remember last time in Sydney the wreched Symond edged the ball and stood the ground. Ricky claiming a buped catch!

typical lame excuse. do the indian keep cry same thing all life. Why don't they just use TV reply for F sake!

I wonder who will cricket obsessive indian react if yesterday decision happened to sachin. In fact sachin would have himself frustrated if he out on first ball. very ridiculous indian attitude and excuse not to use review system

Cowan not out because no sign on hot spot; indian field said hot spot wrong because there was an edge!

There should be no DRS and no umpires during India matches. :-)

DRS SUCKS
by sumit banerjee on Dec 27, 2011 03:42 AM  | Hide replies

DRS is produced and controlled by Production company in this case Channel Nine.ICC has no set standards for DRS ,Every TV production company uses technology available to them. And There is no guarantee that technology cannot be manipulated to benefit one Team to Increase TRP. Going by Channel nine commentary team habit of trashing Indian player at every opportunity it can be said that BCCI's decision not to employ DRS is a right one .If you watch channel nine then it can be said that they cannot be trusted.

Aus Tour in 80s and 90s
by Just Curious on Dec 27, 2011 03:10 AM  | Hide replies

When India or Pak or Srilanka was touring the Aus they were always playing against 13 men in Aus. This was the time ICC was under Aus control.
Also, Sunny, Akram and Ranatunga were unfortunate they had a weak media in their home countries during those tour. Auzy media pshychologically destroyed them on every tour too.
Against England was a different story as England had some control on ICC and their media exposed Aussies as much and so umpires were less partial.

So now India is cheating by using Erasmus and refusing DRS?

Nice to know that.

Dont get carried away by paid employees of bcci-gavaskar and bhogle...they will continously resist technology on cricket...they'll support bcci at any cost...it can easily be seen that even technology with a 10 % error will be far more superior than the horrendous , ridiculous , attrocious decisions handed out by umpires...it kills the game...make potential thrillers into one sided matches...till this date one cant fathom the reason for this opposition...may be there's some other agenda who knows.

Ha Ha ---- is he a joker ?
by letsgo on Dec 26, 2011 10:31 PM  | Hide replies

Cowan should not rue. His predecessor , one Mr Ricky Ponting usually appealed for bounced-catch. Once Sachin was given out for the ball was hitting his shoulder ! Sunny Gavaskar called it " Shoulder-before-wicket. One Mr Ian Chappel made it a custom to appeal for "catches" which did not take any edge at all! He proudly called it " Australian Gamemanship. Mr Cowan, your country became no.1 with these umpiring help. And this will go on till we hold the no.1 spot at least for 4 years. Then we will consider the change.
