Cowan should not rue. His predecessor , one Mr Ricky Ponting usually appealed for bounced-catch. Once Sachin was given out for the ball was hitting his shoulder ! Sunny Gavaskar called it " Shoulder-before-wicket. One Mr Ian Chappel made it a custom to appeal for "catches" which did not take any edge at all! He proudly called it " Australian Gamemanship. Mr Cowan, your country became no.1 with these umpiring help. And this will go on till we hold the no.1 spot at least for 4 years. Then we will consider the change.
Friends...one should understand why DRS is not implemented. Few hundred crores betting will be lost. Just see and enjoy cricket like WWF its all about fake game.
Wrongfull dismissals in Australia are all right as long as they are against visiting teams. Not welcome at all when happens to Australian players. Please bring in DRS only to be used for benifit of Australians.

I think the decisions to be made by the umpires only. Otherwise why they are for in the middle. They may be wrong in a very few decisions, but as long as they are not biased then no probs. Also the Captains should be able to bring up any major issues in umpires are making any biased decisions against the spirit of the game. Too much of automation is not going to help the game in any way.
Most of these so called howlers can be eliminated by third umpire after seen slow motion replays . There is no need for any hawk eye or hot spot just replays are enough to prevent the howlers in most cost effective way.
As if he would have scored a tripple hundred had he not given out. True to Australian tradition of creating controversy, Cowan did it on his debut. He should remember that he has a long way to go to establish himself in the same bracket of great Australian cricketers. if he achieves aven 50% of his 3rd. wicket partner to day, Ponting, that would be an achievement and to remind him that Ponting never rued about Umpire\'s decesion but still only highest run getter after Tendulker.
ICC should take Cowan's statement seriously and penalise him for questioning umpiring decision. Indians including Sachin never commented about the dismissal by wrong decisions in the past. A new comer like Cowan should not have opened his mouth against a senior Umpires ruling.

HEY DUDE ABSOLUTELY TRUE HEZ JUST STARTED HI INTL CAREER...AND LOOK @ HIS BLABBERING TONGUE ON THE 1ST DAY ITSELF..........HE SHUD TRY LEARNING FRM THE GR8'S LIKE SRT AND R.DRAVID....TO BE HUMBLE NAD ACCEPT WHTEVER DECISIONS COME HIS WAY....UMPIRES ARE HUMAN BEINGS TOOO...DRS IS NOT FOOL PROOF AND UMPIRES NEEDD 2 BE CONSIDERATE WITH THE SO CALLED HOWLERS.
Actually Indian are getting most of the bad decisions. Umpires like Bucknor etc had given many shocking decision. I dont understand why Indians still objecting. If Decision Review System were there since little back Sachin would have completed 18000 runs already.

Boss, if we agree to DRS, then how will we invent excuses for Sydney 2008 like debacles? Remember we lost a 100% drawn match in the last over losing 3 wickets?
