marsh , harris is injured and out of the series and pointing or hussey will be dropped ..
It is media hype only, both will play and find out their form against India only. many times it happens debutant player got hundread and out of form player discovered his form against Indian team only. if both dropped then it is India's chance to win in Australia

I completely agree with you. Infact, I mentioned the same below. India will fancy its chances of a series win if these two are dropped.
Many batsmen miraculously get back to form when they play against India, so, Ponting will surely be playing against India on the boxing day to regain form and greatness. It wouldn't be wrong to say that he must be licking his limbs with the prospects of facing the Indian bowling attack!. :-)
Dropping Ponting will backfire Aussies back home. he might be dry with runs at the moment but we can never hide his abilities to score against sub-continent teams.
Further to that, who will be playing spin well? There are only few batsman from downunder who plays better spin than him.
I reckon that will be huge loss to Aussies dropping Ponting.

If Cricket Australia drops Ponting then it will be great news for India. They will surely beat OZ without Ponting.

i agree.even Tendu has not scored a century for more than six months despite playing against weak teams like west indies.Ponting showed class in the last world cup. Recently against south africa,he did contribute in the australian win.Dropping Ponting against india would mean that india would win 4-0 in the ensuing series.
easy task firstly give consistency like khwaja,warner,haughes.Players are coming and go like hauritz,north,voges,bollinger,mckay,kretza,derathy.If this situation then where is consistency.Then this is 8th wonder that australia win test,odi in sri lanka,draw 20-20,win odi series and draw test in south africa.Cricket australia now see the fitness and cosistency.Otherwise australian era now end.Even bangladesh and west indies defeat in their land.
