NO SOLUTIONS UNLESS NON CRICKETERS R THROWN OUT
by ADOLF HITLER on Aug 29, 2011 11:33 AM

Do we think that the BCCI s not aware of all these. they r.. but where is the talent.

Induct 140-145 plus bowlers... from where... the moment we get any of these the BCCI will make them play in every tournament and within a year we will lose them. Now its the turn of V Aaron and Shami Ahmed.

All rounders.. where r they... during the ICC U19 2000 or 2002 world cup we had one Chandrashekhar Atram a decent pacer cum batsmen. why was he not picked..

Pitches r never going to improve unless sensible people will manage the cricket in India.

All politics...

Also we forgot to mention one more thing... No endorsements for a new player for the first 2/3 years and if the team plays as in England then they should not be paid.

Unless such strict rules r applied we will continue to b a laughing stock 4 the world.

Replacement..
by satish chandar on Aug 29, 2011 11:27 AM

I dont think there is any point in making Gambhir staying there with an injury and concentrating on getting fit for the ODI series.. He can come back to home and have good rest free from all the thoughts.. Whether he plays CLT0 or not is his interest.. But for ODI we got some decent enough players and there is no harm in trying out them.. Selectors.. Please bring Gambhir home and take a replacement sooner..

Solutions for revival of Team India
by Prashant Shenoy on Aug 29, 2011 11:20 AM  | Hide replies

1. Improve bench strength. Take a leaf out of the Australian team, who suffered after the retirements of Hayden, Gilchrist, Warne, McGrath etc. Dont let that happen after the retirements of Sachin, Laxman & Dravid.
2. Induct atleast 2 fast bowlers who can bowl really fast...consistently at 145-150 kmph.
3. Improve players' fitness. Penalise severely those who pretend to be fit.
4. Induct atleast 2 genuine allrounders, like Kallis, Flintoff, Shane Watson etc. All test playing nations except India have atleast 1 genuine allrounder. Now dont call Sehwag, Youvraj/Raina as allrounders. They are not.
5. Keep a gap of atleast 1 month between IPL/CL trophy and any series, be it home or away.
6. Prepare swinging/seaming/bouncing pitches for all domestic tournaments in India. This way, the batsmen of next era will not face difficulties in facing English/South African conditions.

Bingo Mr.Hitler, u got it right. But as u rightly said, unless we implement these kind of policies, Team India is going to suffer humiliating losses. I strongly believe that if we dont prepare the team keeping in view the retirements of Big 3, all matches played in SA,NZ,Oz & Eng are going to be lost.

Who have u the information that sachin is not playing? The 6 batsmen would be - Sachin, Dravid, Virat, Rohit, Raina & Manoj Tiwary, followed by Dhoni, R P Singh, Aswin, Munaf, Praveen / Amit Mishra

He must be very happy!
by dss d on Aug 29, 2011 10:52 AM  | Hide replies

Gambhir must be elated that he doesn't have to play in the ODI's and can come home and rest.

Many of the senior players are already too rich, and not enthusiastic about the game anymore.

Must bring in new players who are eager to play and not rich yet.

Gautam is 100 % committed cricketer. In IPL only last match was issue while in all other matches he was fit and almost certain to play in West indies tour. You could see his commitment that despite blow on many occasion , he always stood up in fielding as per team’s requirement . Why raina , laxman has not got injury during fielding ? Gautam has desperately tried for catch so that india get the breakthrough. Dhoni the politician knows it well hence he has always asked him to stand near the bastman so that he can accommodate raina in test and ODI
