The Reason Why Sachin could not Become a Good Leader
by rajashi ghosh on Aug 23, 2011 03:06 PM

Sachin is a diplomat to the core. He does not want to be controversial. That's why he was not a good captain. He could not pose difficult questions to himself or his teammates. That's why he chose to take the easy way out, give up captaincy.

Compare that with what Anna Hazare has done. He has singlehandedly shaken the corrupt establishment. He has sacrificed his food, his peace to raise such a cruical issue. This is what leaders are all about. They can never be diplomatic.

BCCI IS MORE INTERESTED WITH IPL CIRCUS THAN STATUS OF TEST CRICK
by subrata banerjee on Aug 23, 2011 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

The present BCCI members and indian selectors are looked to be more serious about IPL CIRCUS CRICKET THAN SERIOUS TEST CRICKET. Where Srikanth is the chariman, we the Indians can expect absolute sinceriety from the selection committee. But it is rediculous to see most unfit and not in touch of cricket players like virendra shewabag (i do not aspire his class but he is definitely not fit), a most forgotton player like R.P.Singh, have been flown in Indian squad. During the series first Zahir (was he fit at all?) and thereafter series of top players like Harbhazan singh, gautam gambhuir, Dhoni himself (though Dhone never officially declared he was not fit but fact remains that his thumb was well injured which is very common fenomenan of wicket keepers). So I would like to ask BCCI and selection committee to explain what for physio, doctor, manager and above all the coach have been sent with the team. Were they sleeping? Was captain 100% fit? Moreover, Dhoni's captaincy displays extreme idiocity and unplanned in this series. Dhoni's batting, wicket keeping (below club leve keeper), and finally captaincy have left many question marks against him. His inclusion in test team is questionable.

The entire blame is of BCCI.Rite from Organising and Selection the entire process is very very bad.The BCCI should plan out the tours in such a way that the players get adequate rest. The selection should be on MERRIT and not on BIG NAMES.AFTER WORLD CUP title what was the need of IPL.

ALL INDIANS ARE BROTHERS AND SISTERS
by palanisamy on Aug 23, 2011 02:40 PM

Let us leave it as it is. Because all indians are brothers and sisters. whatever our brothers and sisters do we have to pardon them. that is indian culture. Let politicians and their favorites do what they fit good for them. Let us not complaint. They will keep engage all of us and at the end of the day they will come home as if nothing has happened. please therefore do not blame politicians
