India's problems started in the last SA tour
by Nikhil Shah on Aug 20, 2011 12:21 AM

Let us take the SA tour. Zaheer misses the first Test against SA and the Indians give up 500 runs with the SA batting playing havoc because of Zaheer's absence.

It then manages to win the next Test but could not get to SA's tailenders in the 3rd Test to win the Test series.

The series is a draw with India maintaining the number one status.

The 1-day series saw the missing of seniors
because the WC was around and India's bowling attack was not the same in the WC as it was in the SA 1-day series.

So it ended up picking Piyush Chawla who has not bowled much in international cricket. A blunder which was again covered up by the Seniors and winning the Cup.

The WI tour starts with complacent Indian team which is over-confident but lack proper integration of youngsters. It lost ranking points in the one day series and also in the Test series. Had they won points in the series
they could have held on to the points for the English tours.

Rahane with a batting average of 67 was missing and Varun Aaron who hit 153kph was never in the picture.

The England tour was a true Test and without Sehwag and Zaheer, even with them was going to be tough against a well prepared English side.

Overall the crunching of SA, World Cup, WI and English conditions caused this debacle and were careless to not win matches they were suppose to.

Missing Kirsten, Zaheer, Harbhajan, Yuvraj
by Arv Singh on Aug 19, 2011 09:18 PM  | Hide replies

By now we all have realized that current Indian team is the worst country has put out for years. Their batting, bowling, fielding, and tactical game plans are below par. Here are my own analysis of the team's performance:

Team Management:
Absent and non-existing team management did nothing to take charge of the situation. Grandson of Choudhary Bansilal, Haryanvi manager should be fired as he has no clue about Cricket or international conditions. Appoint a former test player for the role.

Coach:
Now we know that it was Gary Kirsten who masterminded India's success in past years. Without him Indian team lacks tactical game plan and look clueless. Duncan Fletcher is not Gary Kirsten.

Skipper:
Dhoni has failed as the leader of the team. he has lost his way and appear clueless. His ad mocking his senior player and his dead father was cheap and divisive. Him bowling at a critical point of a test showed his lack of commitment. His own wicketkeeping, field placement, and bowling changes are very poor.

Pace Bowlers:
Without Zaheer Khan, Indian fast bowlers look 2nd rate and never threatening. Why was Munaf ignored? Srishanth is a retard and RP Singh should have never been there,

Spinners:
Without Harbhajan, Indian spinners look like Ranji players. Mishra, Ojha, Powar, and Chawla are just not making it at the international level.

Selectors:
Team selection defies logic. Players like Mukund, RP, srishanth dont deserve to be in the team. Kohli, Munaf, Saha, Yuvraj should be playing.

Arrogant dhoni. He is acting like MMS. A fool. Why did they not pick ojha instead of sreeshanth. 2 spin attack was the way to go. England pls hit 1000 in ur first innings
