Out from playing 11 Mr.Sachin, Laxman, Bhajji, Zaheer, Dravid, Dhoni, Munaf, and get in youngsters like Pujara, Jadeja, Y.Pathan, Mukund, Murali Vijay, Robin Uthappa, S.Tiwari, Dhavan, R.Ashwin, P.Oaza, Vinaykumar etc. so team India would not loosing like current team playing in England.

Do you really think this team will work, INdia will start losing tests in 2 days. Robin Utthappa in the test team, all that you want is more than half the team from South. Stupid parochial thinking.
These parasites live on their ancient acheivements and some scores against pathetic teams who have got tTest status for non cricketing reasons. They have completelly ruined the careers of a generation of bright upcoming cricketers in India. Their cronies in the selection committees are well dined and wined by these parasites to ensure they are able to stick on like leaches
soon there will be a series against zim, bang or some home series, where u will find laxman, sachin, bhajji coming back to form. everything will be forgotten and the 38 year old will play for some more 4-5 years..
With an average age of 31 years 210 days, this explains the tired look on the faces of Indian players during fielding, the dropped catches, slow run up to the boundary to pick up the ball, and slow running between the wickets.
So do we retire them - Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman, Zaheer, Dhoni, and Harbhajan?
Can the likes of Raina, Yuvraj, Kohli, Badrinath, and Pujara make the batting line-up? How about Sreesanth, Ishant, Vinay, Mishra, and Ojha for bowling line-up?
I don't see that happening in near future. Aged, jaded, and tired, but they are still the best what india can offer. Now here lies the tragedy - why dont India have a plan for future?

More than half of your bowling line up is already bowling in the current series and you are seeing the result.
"India's poor performance at Edgbaston (particularly the jaded look of the Indian players in the field) made me wonder whether it had something to do with players' ages." It would be interesting to know how many under-30s were there in the great Australian side captained by Steve Waugh, and then by Ricky Ponting.

Physical characteristics, genetic facts, stamina etc of Australians are not comparable to Indians.

Porus fought valiantly against Alexander in what BC so why dont we consider him for Indian army Chief of Staff

I'm no Dravid fan, but please don't talk crap. Porus is dead, Dravid is not - and he has been the best Indian batsman in this series.
The average age of this defies logic as key players who matters are almost reaching non playing age for International sports. The lack of courage on part of board to tell the players who have already serious problem with fitness such as Sachin,Laxman(No where to hide on field),Zaheer(Chronic history of break down) & Sehwag along with Gambhir who joined team even with injuries calls for head of Srikanth .The chief selector has enjoyed the cozy office by being good to all stake holders but fans of game & has been the biggest culprit for the debacle in England. He along with Shashank Manohar & Srinivas needs to be show gate.

Selector cannot take bat and ball and play for the team. When the whole team is failing, what can the selector do?
