One method that can be thought of, is to select a core group of 15-20 players who are adept at 1st Class cricket and train them by asking them to play County Cricket in England, Sheffield Shield in Australia, 1st Class Cricket in South Africa, New Zealand and Sri Lanka on an annual basis. These guys need not necessarily play in Division 1 tournaments in all these countries but at Div II or Div III tournaments. This shall enable one to pick suitable replacements based on the demand of teh conditions that you may encounter in a tour. Also, for god's sake, please make sure that batsmen make their Test Debuts at home, so that they have some runs under their belt. Its one thing for a Medium pacer to make a debut in West Indies, England or Australia, because in India, it would be baptism by fire for them, similarly for the batsmen it is always better to face good bowlers first at domestic level and then go abroad. International Cricket is not a place for experimentation but for implementation of all methods that have been successfully devised over the years through dedicated efforts. Cricket is one sport where home and away conditions have a profound impact and even a good side can be made to look insipid. Its simple, you cannot go to Air Combat with a Submarine, you'll need a Fighter Jet.
As soon as there is demand of Bharath Ratna for Sachin tendulkar, team India will perform like this only. If sachin quits/sacked India can bring 10 sachins. India is not made of SACHIN, AMITAB OR SHARUKH. There are 100 crore people left behind. Please see practically

Indian team need a change.Introduce more fresh and young talent with specific target to each player.Their salary should be performance oriented and not like public sector you do or do not salary is same.Once target is fixed for each player they will give 200% result and we will not lose like this.Dying and dying with brave are two different thing.Let us be performance oriented and not fashion oriented.
