by PRADEEP ARYA on Aug 13, 2011 12:34 PM

LET THEM ALSO ENJOY NO-1 SPOT FOR WHILE. AFTER ALL THEY INVENTED THE CRICKET BUT POOR ENGLISHMEN NEVER WON ANY MAJOR TITLE NEVER BECAME NO-1 ONLY ONE TITLE THEY WON 20-20 IN MORE THEN 100 YEARS OF CRICKET. THEY HAVE VERY GOOD TEAM BUT WILL BE REAL NO-1 WHEN THEY WILL BEAT US IN OUR BACK YARD SO FAR THEY HAVE NOT DONE IN LAST 26 YEARS.

Padmanabhan please do us a favor. Put India below Zim & Bangladesh for now. That would be more realistic.

Fervent Appeal to BCCI - Spare us this misery
by Inzy Bhai on Aug 13, 2011 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI please pre pone the last match. The current test match will be over today so the next one can start on Monday instead of the scheduled date of Aug 18th. Make England bat first & the Indians will ensure & guarantee that the test will be over in less than 3 days. Forget the one day series. The poor chaps want to return home. Why can't you blood suckers in the BCCI realize their plight. They area tired & retired bunch. Charter a special flight so that on losing the last test they can at least be airlifted from the ground itself.

If India is an average team and England is strong why England is not No.1.

India team

We must have solid players who have good defence and know where their off stump is for tests Not player like Yuvraj and Raina who tend to push at even good length balls.Tey seem to be waiting fearfully for short balls.Whatever has happened to Pujara.Rahne too plays late and is scoring runs in Austrelia.Badrinath is also a very cpmpact player. He may fail but look for his talent. And its trus taht the same English side wiil struggle in Lanka or in India. And fianlly our best spinner is Oza pl include him

riots in england
by Jugal Ahuja on Aug 13, 2011 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

the riots in england cities-london,birmingham,nottingham etc has had a disastrous effect on the indian cricketers mentality-specially sachin, who is very emotional, & i.e why our poor showing in england.similar was the effect on the english players in 2008,when mumbai 26/11 took place.the indians should take advantage of the situation & come back, & think of returning only after we have got 15 fit players.

India has got many good fast bowlers!
by suhail khalid on Aug 13, 2011 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

Too much of reliance on Zaheer Khan has made the BCCI forget that India has good bowlers like Laxmipathi Balaji,Irfan pathan,A.Bhandari and Ashish Nehra. These fast bowlers do have the potential to be a pain in the neck for any opposition.

KHAILD BHAI I AM SORRY TO SAY NON OF THIS MENTIONED BOWLERS HAS CLASS TRUST ME. EXCEPT IRFAN WAS GOOD IN INITIAL DAYS BUT DUE TO HIS FEET WIDENED HE LOST THE PACE. ALL THESE ARE VERY MEDIOCRE TYPE OF BOWLERS. YOU SEE HOW NEHRA RUNS FROM HIS BOWLING MARK BLOODY SHAME ON A FAST BOWLERS. BALA-JI DOES NOT HAVE PACE AT ALL. BHANDARI IS GONE THROUGH AGE NOW. ISHANT AND SHREE SHANT ARE THE BEST NEW COMERS. ZAHEER IS THE BEST WE HAVE AND MUNAF CAN BE GOOD SUPPORTIVE BOWLER. IF THESE BOWLERS YOU MENTIONED WERE IN ENGLAND EVERY INNING TOTAL WOULD HAVE BEEN 700 PLUS WITHOUT LOOSING ANY WICKET. THIS IS VERY GOOD ENGLISH BATTING LINE UP AGAINST TIRING INDIAN TEAM. SO MUCH OF CRICKET JUST COUNT FROM LAST TWO YEARS.

Geoff Boycott's comments...
by saurabh chowdhury on Aug 13, 2011 12:13 PM

Though India got the number 1 rank when they deserved it, but yes at this point of time they certainly don't look like as if they deserve number 2 rank as well. The batting, bowling and fielding has been dismal and the spirit non existent. To an extent the senior players are to be blamed for this as well. Most of them - barring Rahul and Laxman - had just played - and won - the world cup. It made more sense for them to skip the IPL and rest their bodies for the future test series (WI and England) which they knew were back 2 back. But they chose not to do so. On one hand the say that performing in test cricket is the ultimate and on the other hand they do not want to keep themselves fit to face the rigours of the game and aggravate their injuries by playing in the IPL. Just goes to show the power of MONEY !!!
Forget the others I don't understand why Sachin needs to run after IPL when he is not a part of India's T20 team. I guess the lure of money is too much. This probably wud be the last time he visits England as a member of the Indian cricket team. Sad his fans there will not be able to see him dominating the bowlers in a test match.....Pity the crowd and indian fans in England !!!
