if all this hype and fuss is abt sachin scoring another 100, can we have a (fixed) series with bangladesh or zimbabwe and finish it off b4 the 4th test???

What are you going to do? Commit suicide, or just close the eyes, and keep them firmly closed?
Angrez have been very successful in their frustration tactics against indian batting and bowling as well their domination tactics.
Now when india made headway with spin, ANGREZ got swann and Peitersen to compete and dominate in that area right away with an very aggressive fielding setup. Angrez already have leeched out what Panesar can offer into Swann and that is the reason spinner of level Harbhajan were no success and only helped to increase confidence of Angrez. THIS MEANS INDIA SHOULD have had 2 spinners of Pragyan and Rahul order in the attack.
Batting wise, Sehwag should have been sent down the order until this horse is ready to run as it used to. Dravid going up the order until sehwag is ready. that was wrong planning and it did not happen. Needs to have players like Rohit and kohli on the nets and padded up to play in the 11, allowing tendulkar into 3rd test to complete records was not wise. tendulkar also made mistake in letting BCCI agree on partial DRS under media pressure.
Players like Dravid would have not dropped so many catches if there was proper Program to make India a number 1 team that included fitness, this could be avoided. But there is politics in dropping catch as well. have a 12th men for dravid on field.
And R P singh needs to be there on the nets as well and was supposed to be there for 3rd test.

was there any logic to import sehwag.his double duck has really proved that fluke batsman can't survive in good bowling
Whats more funny is these moronic institutions of so called repute the IIM's and some other institutions did a case study on leadership of dhoni and even thought that too students and executives. THere were articles on how executives should learn from Dhoni :D. Leadership is shown in difficult circumstances, like kumble did when we were in trouble in australia, winning a tournament in your home country with pitches suited to you does not bring out any exceptional qualities in you, its like passing an exam where you know the questions before hand.. Moronic MBA institutions just a waste of time with a pathetic discipline

These institutions of repute should not involve in cheap publicity .earlier also they were involved in case study of indian railways under one of the pillars of corruption, aloo h@a@r@a@m@i prasad k@u@t@t@a yadav.
ppl were going gagagagaga abt shewag coming to the team and winning the rest 2 tests... when he came to the crease all he got as a pair of golden duck.... I just say there is too much hype given to these players who don't even try and put a brave fight... forget winning at least the losing should be after a good fight... the best example of fighting spirit was displayed by the west indies team who were missing key players a month ago...
sammy and the guys really put a fighting show after losing the 1st test... now that is what I call a TEST TEAM... not these bunch of jokers who can't even bat for 1 full day...

i think it's time that sehwag be rested from all forms of cricket and all endorsements be stopped. lets him struggle for his daal roti and only then can he understand the pressure.
These players cannot miss a single match of IPL and they take rest skipping the important tour of West Indies. BCCI must wake up and think over IPL. Either IPL must be a tournament for brooming young talents only. Current 15 who are representing Team India cannot be a part of IPL, this has to be the rule. How can you play 1 full month of Twenty 20 cricket and then skip the international tour which was an ideal preparation to England tour. It seems that the indian batsmen wants to get out early and go into dressing home and relax the rest of match instead of fighting hard on the ground.
Re: STOP IPL IMMEDIATELY
by Mahesh Margam on Aug 13, 2011 07:25 AM
true... these ppl never skip a match in ipl... they fake injury after it and now can't play in one of the important series... and on top of this they have contract that pays shit load of money when they don't play... the wrath of 1b indians will never make them live the dream life...
i think we need to move on to some other sport other than cricket...
Well why don't the media interview tendulkar, sehwag, dhoni, bowlers and see what their strategy is after each days play. I hope cook or ponting beat vada pav tendulkars test century record. Shameless fellow watches wimbledon like some grandpa. Players like richards, gilly, pollock were great and played their natural games all the times.

Did you see tendulkar smiling after he dropped / or rather not attempt the catch. They just dont care Have milked enough money from cricket.
Mr Boycott....dont you think.......you try to find way to speak about teams including England....when the time comes. Dont you think....you should be Boycotted......? Because of your age....u lack sense now.....
Boycott is right. This is an overhyped Indian team (the hip youngsters who media has made heroes) who are all flat track bullies.
Oldies like Laxman, Dravid, SRT who have proved their worth on foreign pitches are unfortunately out of form and there is no initiative from young folks.
Comparing this with winning the World Cup isn't fair because it was played on Indian soil. This Dhoni lead team is lacklustre compared to 2003 World Cup team by Ganguly purely because of the way everyone contributed then without the overhyping as done today.
No way is Indian cricket no 1 for simple fact that there is no real performance when playing on foreign soil under difficult conditions. Come home series, suddenly they will be heroes as thats what they do best, bullying on batsmen friendly pitches which you dont find in Australia or England.
Ordinary captain, out of form veterans and overhyped youngsters - thats what it is right now.

does it mean that sehwag can go on scoring ducks, sachin can average below 10,freepanth and pissant can give ultra wides etc. if so then to stay at no 1,BCCI and h@a@r@m@i pawar can shell out money to have bangladesh/kenya/holland play with india in india(mind it if india plays holland/bangladesh/kenya in their countries it will be a risk)so that they can always stay at no 1. although that is also doubtful now a days...

Very well said.
It is very sad and disheartening to see ugly comments on Sachin. Sachin is no flat track hero. Just six months back, he had scored two test centuries against quality pace attack comprising of Steyn, Morkell, kallis, Totsobe on bowler friendly pitches in South Africa.

Yeah but he is bit out of form. This is where other young ones should come in if India is really no 1 which is not happening at all on these English pitches.
The Haryana batsman failed to score a run in both innings! Did you expect any different. He hasn't played for months. What was the thought behind including him in the team without any conditioning? Abhinav Mukund should be a permanent fixture in the team regardless of how he performs. Why doesn't K. Shrikkanth include more players from Tamilnadu? Bring in Vinay Kumar, M Vijay, Badrinath, and Ashwin next!!!!

You're one bringing region in your comment. Why wouldn't some one else take a stab at it?
By the way, Sehwag plays for Delhi. And so he is Delhi Batsman.
Cut all that conditioning and all that nonsense out in Sehwag's case here. The way he got out, it had nothing to do with conditioning. It was stupid, careless, bonehead attitude.

You are right that Sehwag plays for Delhi but he is from Haryana. Regardless of where he comes from, he played like a pinhead. better conditioning and more practice would have helped tough.
