It is very clear by the attitude of indian batsman that they play for the money not for the country. If they get money equivalent to the IPL then they might have won both the matches.
Dhoni ...till now had a magic wand as per our media which is used to making heroes.
A test team captain should be sincere in his approach .... right from selection of the team, understanding pitch/conditions, dissecting techniques of opposite batsmen to the execution of the plan .... session by session.
Test can be lost if you play one session badly. And if you play couple of them badly, then the margin can be huge as in Trentbridge.
Tests can be lost ... no issues with that. No test team can be invincible but some basics are wrong with this Indian team.
Selection of the team is questionable. Munaf is out, Praveen is in ? Mishra is out, Bhajji is in ?
Execution is wrong. You can not have a cavalier approach to your batting expecially on England pitches. Dhoni should have shown that by example. Instead we have only one Dravid fighting till the end.
Test matches are won by attrition and not by flamboyance.
Lastly do we need a separate Test Captain ... time to ponder ...

lol. Quite naive but interesting. You talk like you watched the entire process of selection. Munaf does not swing the ball, praveen does. Bhaji i have no idea why he is there.

If you swing at 100kphs ... then even Anderson & Bresnan can make Centuries !!

lol. Spoken like an amateur. If you swing it from the right length, even sachin cant do jack. So it is not the pace buddy, it is getting it right in conditions you are not familiar with.

lol. of coz any team with their best 3 players down would just go win all matches. Get a life.

When the Aussies, South Africans and Windies were in their heydays, even a lameduck team would thrash theShit out of any team (however weak or strong). Thats what is called the real championship spirit!!!
This is what happens when the players r busy doing ramp walks , shooting adds for selling mosquito repellents & boost etc & forget the secret of how to being a good player.

This is what happens when players are playing too much cricket and BCCI is milking it.

You mean, besides Sachin, who's been a failure this series, you want Rohit Sharma, Wasim Jaffer, Ajinkya Rahane? OK. Let's also include Ajit Agarkar. :) If you bring in Mumbai players, we'd still lose. If VVS Laxman, Gambhir and Sachin find it hard to score, how will "Mumbai players", who weren't good enough for the Indian team in the first place, make any difference?! It's about merit, you idiot. Not Mumbai.

What did Sairaj Bahutule, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, Sameer Dighe, Nilesh Kulkarni, Abey Kuruvilla, Paras Mhambrey, Jatin Paranjpe and Ramesh Powar do? This is injustice to have dropped them (LOL).
I'd like to add one other thing to the discussion. DROP HARBHAJAN. He's been ineffective as a lead bowler and does not merit a place on this tour. Since we're 2-0 down anyway, I'd like to see Mishra, Ashwin or Ojha bowling in the next two tests. Absolutely no place in the team for non-performers. One simple, ruthless reason why the Aussies dominated for as long as they did.
Yes at present Team India does't look like No.1 TEAM.But things will change soon. Our bowlers need to penetrate more into lower order English batsmen. Our Top 5 Batsmen should score 100's.Team Change needed: 1.Remove Mukund and replace with Sehwag. 2.Remove Harbhajan and bring Mishra / M.Patel 3.Win Toss and elect to Bat first and put up a score of of 350 (Dhoni's decision to bowl first is not working) 4.Sachin and Gambir should bat well along with Yuvi. 5.All play your natural game and have confidence in you.
I hope India will atleast win either of the remaining game and draw one and be at No.1 ICC ranked team. All the best Team India and Rahul Dravid for his consistancy.

You mean a depleted indian team does not ? Why dont england rest broad and one of their top 2 batsmen and then lets compare. England has got the chance of their lives against a team that is crippled with injuries. They can boast and pretend but once this is over, they will be back to earth.
