Remember Chappel saga. Australians think themselves superior in cricket. Better choice would be from springboks and kiwis. Don't forget the contribution of John Wright. He prepared 75% players of the present team. Gary Kirsten gave a perfect finishing touch.

Warne is true legend and his knowldge of the game is very good. Even Chappel is having a fair idea of the game but he faulted with man management. But, if he can gel well with team India (not the other way), Warne will be the Man we are looking for (but still worried about his off feild life, which will be 'celebrated' by Indian media and things can go out of hand very soon too)
the question asked to him was "what are your thoughts on the next Indian coach", and his response has been made into a headline of its own. Now, do you understand by what Afridi meant when he said that Indian media is so bad?
I think a technically sound person (foreigh or Indian) who keeps low profile will make a good coach for Team India. Look at Mr. Gary Kirsten, John Wright or Anshuman Gaekwad. They were low profile and allowed the Indian superstars to have their say. They did not hurt the superstars ego and hence succeded. Compare it with someone like Greg Chappel and you will get the answer to Indian cricket team's success.

no he isnot ready. has got some prior committments. will lemmeknow as soon as he gets free.
Indians are not suitable as a coach because there will surely be a bias sooner or later for selection based on regionalism or state-wise preferential treatment of players. Also we still have a huge colonial hangover! An Indian coach will find it difficult to discipline volatile players compared to a 'gora'. And the players too tend to listen to a 'gora' but take Indians for granted. So most likely a Gary Kirsten or Shane Warne will do a better job than Sunil Gavaskar or Ravi Shastri based these two contexts only..... and nothing to do with competence or skill for which an Indian coach is far superior.
