Good point... Now we will have 2011 to rehash for a number of years or decades depending on how Team India chooses to perform from here on....

Saji Ko:

Then South Africa were really unlucky that they beat the 2011 World Champions, yet did not reach the finals?
Point taken... :)

Re: North Indian leadership is the key

Abe Oye:

But it was indeed a pity that Kapil Dev became a South Indian in 1987...

Hope Dhoni doesn't repeat Kapil's mistakes; and remains a North Indian... Else we might have to find another captain in 2015, coz it might well be that your "intelligent" research actually means that the North Indians have limited "flogging" capabilities that disappear after one outing!!!

Well one Team India
by priya on Apr 04, 2011 11:36 AM

Well, this is a slap on the face of critics. Those who were doubting India's no. 1 position in test ranking have fallen again on their face. Those who were doubting Sachin's intigrity have no face to hide. Sachin's critic had a argument of not having a cup in his kitty, now wt they will argue? sure they will say, sachin failed in final, but will forget abt his contribution as a player, team man, guide and inspiration to youngsters.

India is 1st because they deserved to win, India chased successfully because team has ammunition to fire opposition out, Loss of Srilanka even after a centurty by Jaywardhne because cricket is a tam game, Dhoni was never superflop, he proved that in final, mendis was kept out because Indian has sorted him out and sanga was knowimg that, murli is a old history now. got it? u fool go and prepare for ur exam.

the main reason for indian win is the mis reading of the pitch by sangakara. he thought in the second half it will turn like in srilanka and the indians will buckle under pressure. he was wrong.

I have read somewhere that Dhoni shave off his head at midnight between 2.45 A.M. to 3.00 A.M. as per instructions by some pandit....

As that pandit had adivised dhoni to do so after winning the world cup...

Sangakkarra was incredibly gracious in his defeat!!!!!!!!!
by S Narain on Apr 04, 2011 11:08 AM  | Hide replies

Sanga is a great captain of Srilanka.

He was incredibly gracious,amazingly dignified

and terrifically well composed in defeat and

was unlucky to be on loosing side after such a

strong performance...

let all Indians emulate him!!!!!!

Jai ho Sangkkara!!!

what a joke..you are expecting too much.. sachin is already made over 5000crores from sports still expect tax exception for expensive imported car and his gym from government. not all sportsmen are role model and less is said about film stars.. india won because of weak opposition team.

good analasis sir, Aus, Pak and SL are weak teams lol .. itseems india shld have won againt strong teams like netherlands or canada or keneya to deserve this worldcup.. FYI sachin offered to pay the tax, it was the govt which offered the waiver and later the tax was utimately paid by company which gifted sachin the car.... if atall sachin has earned 5000crores as u said did he take ur property or taken a share from ur ansectoral property.. it is his sweat and blood.. even u can try for earning if at all u r capable to do it on ur own.. FYI Sachin is the highest taxpaying sportsman...
