Enough of this world cup mania!!!
I am glad that our cricket team made through the world cup finals and this has definitely brought pride for all of us but my brothers and sisters, enough of this mania. It is time to focus on grave issue facing our country. Don't let this victory become a diverting factor for persuasion of corruption cases and scams.movement against corruption in India led by khejriwal, kiran bedi, Anna hazare and other eminent activists was gaining momentum when WC derailed it by distracting people. Please regain your focus and provide your support to movement to bring JAN LOKPAL BILL.Do not give easy by pass to corrupt politicians and bureaucrats.Take lesson from team India, we are capable to achieve anything with hard work, determination and focus.Use your enthusiasm and strength for betterment of out nation, support anti corruption movement.team India has done their job now its your turn. Don't fall far hype and cricket euphoria created by paid news channels.you know their truth from Nira Radia case, don't you?PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ,this is the testing time for your commitment towards creation of corruption free india for future generation.I request you all, give your attention to social movement and support it.Do not fall for momentary happiness and ruin perpetual victory.JAI HIND

1983 win was good But that time we were never so confidnetas we are today
That time we though were world cup winners, we always found ourself one step down while playing with West Indies or England
Today, even if the World cup tournament is replayed, we are confidident that we can win it again

Please do not give too much credit to captains. A captain is as good as his team. Dhoni cannot repeat the same feat by captaining a weak team like Kenya, Zim, Canada, etc.

Correct... Soniaji and Rahulji should watch ALL matches from here on; so that we win in Cricket...

That will also ensure that they will be absent from Parliament and active politics which will actually be a greater benefit; as that will ensure India can start marching on the path of the greatest progress.... :)

Dai,...

Cherish the moment...dont try to bring a divide saying north india south india...

A south indian is the selector now give him due credit for selecting a brilliant team with the oppurtunity given to MSD(North Indian) by an south indian...Never mind...its a team work..

Abe Oye:

;-)... Nice to know that India "started" winning in 1983 when a North Indian started taking intrest in cricket; and started losing in 1987 when a North Indian stopped taking interest in cricket... :)

Hope Dhoni doesn't follow the bad example set by North Indians like Kapil Dev.... :(

In Varanasi, people broke window pane of truck and destroyed hoardings across the road in order to celebrate India's world cup victory

Pl don't divide the country in this way. A common man whether in north or south is so battered by politician that he overcomes his frustration out of celebration.
Cricket is a game by corporates and politicians to make public fool.

If it was not for the contribution of Sachin and Zaheer throughout the tournament, your Northie Dhoni would not have been in the final.
For your info the captain is as good as his team. Dhoni is lucky that he has got the best team. He won't be able to give the same result if he was captain of Kenya, Canada, etc.
So idiot, think before you comment.

It will inspire only to become a cricketer and that too a batsman
by ashutosh gupta on Apr 04, 2011 10:03 AM  | Hide replies

i don't understand by his words of inspiration.
youth will only like to become cricketer and that too a batsman so that he can play for 40 years and become celebrity.

Pity that we cannot win a single gold medal for surety in any olympics

at least youth wants to become a cricketer and not only politician or doctor or engineer. other sportsmen should inspire us to reach there and follow them too, Lee -Hesh have done a lot ans so has Sania, bhaichung could have doen a bit more and Anand has a good following too , so u dont need to cry buddy

Really??, are we giving them (lee-hesh, baichung) this kind of adulation, reward, award as to what this 15 men are getting.

cricket is a game promoted by corporates-politician for their own interest and to make common fool in believing that they are the best among the 8 countries playing the game in a serious manner

Are you saying we should give adulations to Lee-Hesh for showing ZERO performance?

Or are you saying that your original comment that India is not good in anything except cricket; is a false allegation?
