Sachin, Gavaskar, Kapil, Ravi Shastri are anti-social.
Without voluntarily retiring, they've denied/deprived opportunities to young Muslims/Christians/Anglo-Indians/Sikhs/BC/SC/ST cricket players.

It is time that people like PO stop posting senseless and antisocial messages. Donst ask for 'reservations' in cricket as well, you loser!

by Chana Singh on Apr 04, 2011 12:30 PM  | Hide replies

Semi final was an example.

His god gifed 85 ensure india to make finals..

)India is 1st team to win WC while hosting.
2)India is the first country , who have sucessfully chased target of 275 in WC final.
3)Sri Lanka is the only team who have lost final match being scored century by a player in WC final.
4)Idiot_srisanth was chosen as lucky charm and it works.
5) Superflop Dhoni came ahead of inform Yuvraj and clicked.
6)Mendis kept out by sangakkara inspite of good performance in earlier matches.
7)Muralitharan didn't get single wicket in his last match.

Good observations. Some of them are valid. ;-)
India is the first country , who have sucessfully chased target of 275 in WC final. - One day games have evolved to the extent that 275 is not considered as a big total.
Mendis kept out by sangakkara inspite of good performance in earlier matches. - There was news that Mendis and Murali are injured. It looks like they ended up picking Murali possibly he got cleared. Other ones are still valid. :-)

the reason for including Randeev ahead Mendis is, India struggled against relatively new players all the time.

cricket will be popular only in sub-continent
by King Kahn on Apr 04, 2011 12:01 PM  | Hide replies

Cricket, as a professional sport, is declining in every other cricketing nation, EXCEPT the sub-continent. Athletes in these countries prefer other sports to Cricket as has been seen in West Indies and now in Australia.

Pretty soon the only people playing cricket will be folks from sub-continent or expatriates tracing their lineage to the sub-continent.

Australia was the last bastion to fall to 'desis' when Usman Khwaja was selected to the Australian team. Look around and see, sub-continental folks are now a part of every cricket team of the world.

The rest of the world will diversify and move on to a variety of other sports while India/Pakistan/B'desh/Sri Lanka will continue to savor their colonial heritage and continue to win more and more trophies than ever.

Bottom line: The competition will continue to go down and India will win many more world cups as the top athletes in other countries pursue other sports.

PEOPLE OF INDIA- YOUR MONEY IS DISTRIBUTED WITHOUT CAUSE
by atheeq ahamed on Apr 04, 2011 12:01 PM  | Hide replies

There would not be any debate if all these ministers have granted this money from their own Pocket,The most easiest thing to do is taking Peoples Money and giving them the money and getting famous and posing for camera.

If you calculate the Money approximately given to them is Appx 25-30 Crores from Govt Entities.

Isnt this money enough to solve many problems in India like good infrastructure, health and child welfare etc.

The Arab world is prostesting against these kind of lavish and unethical spending and their leaders are thrown apart , what are we indians doing, is there no way to object.

From birth to Death we pay tax...and should we keep quiet, What is democracy here..did any of the leaders consult or poll from the public to give these money to them , they took decision without peoples approval, so where is democracy here ????

i hope u have studied taxation...we cannot use 100% of the tax money only for development. There is a set percentage for that. No doubt the money given to these ppl is out of our pocket, but tell me can you, yourself give 25-30 crores or collect from the common public just by asking?

just enjoy the occastion and wait for your turn..focus on your achievements...

Kumble would have won the World Cup in 2007. That dirty minded saurav ganguly dropped Kumble form the playing 11. He feared losing his captaincy to Kumble who was miles ahead in cricketing skills and knowledge and captaincy material. Saurav became captain because of Dalmia. This is open secret.,

By the way did you hear Dhoni saying this morning that the Kumble and Dravid had a role in the Victory. Wake up guys.

Ganguly had disrespect to Sachin.
That's why he lost miserably in the end.
But Ganguly showed path how to inspire youngers and play as a team.

It is a fact that when North Indians started taking interest in cricket, India started winning in cricket. No wonder both the world cups were won by India under the captaincy of Northies like Kapil and Dhoni. Rest of the Indians, lack the naked aggression, and are weak in mind. They don't deserve to lead, and when they lead, defeats embrace us. Case in point, when Sachin was the captain.
Basically the thing is this: rest of the Indians are like donkeys who perform only when flogged by North Indians. They are like Gadhas-converted-into-ghodas by the North Indian chabuk.

But it was indeed a pity that Kapil Dev became a South Indian in 1987...

Hope Dhoni doesn't repeat Kapil's mistakes; and remains a North Indian... Else we might have to find another captain in 2015, coz it might well be that your "intelligent" research actually means that the North Indians have limited "flogging" capabilities that disappear after one outing!!!

But dhoni did become a south indian , hence the 2009/2010 t20 wc losses :)

Dhoni joined chennai Superkings in 2008 and thats how he became a south indian , well as per discussion

Tragedy..
by Chana Singh on Apr 04, 2011 11:50 AM

Peoples only remember final matches and not the road to the finals.
How one can ignore Kapil's knock against zimbabwe ( 175 runs) that ensure india to stay in tournament....
People only remember MOM in final and semi final Mohinder Amarnath and Roger Binny for superb bowling performance.
Mohinder had scored 29 runs from 106 deliveries in final match.
