Sachin, you and every one is sticking on to cricket becoz there is hefty money in it and not played for free. Atleast now can you play for the rest of the life without a penny... appreciate if you are really playing for country.. or the earnings you may set aside to charity completely.....common if you are true patriotic. Never make a statement to show off... all re not fools
Well done team india that u have won the WC for india after 28 years... Now, Mr Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, u are at the top of ur career, coz, as u had desired, India has won the cup, it is the right time for u to retire now with dignity.. use ur acumen, do it at the right time, otherwise the world has seen very unbecoming and unceremonious exits of the one time superstars due to subsequent poor performance which comes with growing age.. you are no different from a mortal human and already ur at at 38, these indian who are now carrying u on shoulder out of the respect and awe that u command may throw u in oblivion when u will start faltering as ur guts will start giving in to pressure of age, which has happened with the likes of Sunny, Kapil, Shastri and very recently with Saurav dada.. milestones to achieve are endless and if ur given infinite career then too u may long for more of them.. think and take appropriate decision. i feel, if u quit it when u are at top of it, u will remain forever on top of it sorry, if i have offended u or any of ur fans, good luck

Well Said. There is an end to every thing. But Sachin shouls retire from ODI now & then may be after 1-2 years he should quit Test Cricket. If he still thinks that he will continue till he is 40 then it will be a very big mistake. He will not get grand farewell instead it will be humiliation then.

Quite Right, akela, Yes Sachin and Dhoni deserve the Bharat Ratna Award too and shame that RSS,VHP,BJP,shiv sena and all patriotic indians are not agitating in the streets to get the Bharat Ratna award for the great jewels of india, namely Sachin&Dhoni. It is anti-national action by our crooked rulers to grant tax relief of about 100 crore rupees to ICC which gave only the fake trophy to Dhoni and team memebrs after winning the final against lankans. ICC is already rich by looting indian cricket fans and using indians and since we are beadly in need of funds, our rulers MUST NOT have granted more tax relief to the white-dominated ICC body at all. All Indians must question Pranab Mukherjee, Sharad Pawar and PM Singh and BCCI for this anti-national action of giving tax relief of so mnay crore rupees to the ICC crooks
Sachin was the second highest run scorer in the whole tournamentm and highest from the Indian squad.
He should definitely continue to play....it should not be the age....its tha mileage that counts and this guy got lot more to give to the Indian cricket team.

Yes, scored just perhaps 18 or 20 in the finals. Should have retired by now and run his restaurants.

Was it your dad who scored 85 in Semi Final against pakistan??? because of which India reached Finals ....
Grow up man ... you think Sachin should hit century in 50 balls in every match ... Dhoni did not score in entire tournament other than the last match .... but now he is being loved by everyone ....

Limited over matches of 50 or 20 overs must be aplyed only on week-ends and holidays or during nights so that our economy dos not continue to suffer as before and cricket was invented by british colonizers and looters to make people of colonies and youth lazy and morrons forever and if the westerne developed countries want to play 5 day tests or 3 day macthes, etc it is their problem and we should refuse to play long duration cricket matches in future. Shame intellectuals and patriots and media are keeping quiet and are not making enough noise to ban cricket tests and 3 day matches, etc forever.Shame, Indians,Shame

101% agree...I wish Sachin should play for at least two more years..He is the one who did never lat us down...WC finals 2003 and 2011..I feel sorry for him that he took us to that platform but than he did not turned out to be good...but if you see overall performance he is ever outstanding...Men I can not see Indian team without sachin till he is fit, going great...Well done Sachin and wish you more luck in future

i appreciate ur views. u two are really genious and out of class. sachin is god of cricket and he has got indefinite abilities. i wish that he should think about retiring only after playing the world cup to be held in 2015 and 2019.... i may not sound unreasoned or illogical if i suggest that he should plan to make a silver jubilee of world cups... best of luck
My heartiest congratulation on winning such a great sporting event. I did feel bad for other sports Hockey, Soccer. But any ways these things can not snatch the glory what has been achieved on Saturday. No offense but I am not sure that Dhoni is the greatest captain of all time (this is overrated statement). Certainly he is good in keeping the team energetic and together by keeping himself so patient and cool (great qualities). Dhoni was OUtST on that day but not the mainstay for winning world cup. 4/10 as batsman but 10/10 as a captain. Sachin..OMG what a cricketing legend he is, no words to explain his role. Marvelous innings against each quality attack..SA, Aus, Pak he is the one whose innings were exceptional. Being lucky in In-pak match..but luck favors the brave. Not surprised that teammates dedicated the cup to him. 21 yrs.. guys can you imagine, with same perfection, consistency, and dedication. Yuvi..whenever this guy turn out to be good no target is unachievable. under 18 WC, T20 or this one. What a performer, absolutely outstanding. ZK,this time he was not carried away, act so mature, keep things under control on bowling front..Without him this win was not possible. Ravi should have called both Virat and Raina as future of Indian cricket. Dhoni plz pamper Raina like Yuvi. watch this guy and Ashwin (underused) if not mishandled like Irfan (love to see him again). Gautam..pleasure to see him bat. Bhajji, munaf, viru, (expected more). But over great show..keep it up...

Did u also notice that India lost to the only country SA, which never won a worldcup so far.. !!

how boring statistics u discussing... we have even lost to kenia and bangla too in past.. why talk so loudly of wins against all the teams?? most of cricket playing nations except minnows have screwed us so badly in past that it still aches badly and if u see at our win loss ratios with them, we have lost more matches than the wins
