Dhoni has an amazing natual talent in spotting and hitting the ball like Javed Miandad. He also has the power to hit the ball at will. That is why he is so cool and confident generally in whatever position India is in. He think he can pull India out. The same confidence he instills in his team members. Dhoni's critics might like to downplay by saying he is lucky. But more than luck it is his skill and confidence that is contributing to India's win. On top of that he is so professional like someone from a developed country. Seniors are jealous of him because they place is at risk when they can't deliver. But what can they do? Dhoni delivers when most needed!

Now see dho-bi performance in major wins- 1)2007 T-20 wcup- No score of 30 in entire wcup & no match winning inning (Any way India out in 2009/2010 T-20 wcup in 1st round under same captain- as a batsman also dho-ngi failed in all matches,2009 ICC ODI cup- india out in 1st round with dhoni faling in all matches as a batsman). 2)IPL 2010- chennai win but dho-bi failed in 11 matches out of 12 as a batsman 3)Wcup 2011- Except final failure in 8 consecutive maches in continuation to 5 failure in SA series. 4) In test India is no.1- courtsey sachin, sehwag, dravid, laxman, kumble & zaheer. No role of dhoni in it as his records very poor in test cricket against quality team with no match wining inning in entire career.
Only few indian cricketers were born to lead and deserve to be respected with command. We saw Kapil Dev before and now M.S,Dhoni. Dhoni will be rememered in indian history for giving T20, World Cup, IPL for Chennai and leading Indian Team for World No 1 in ODI and Tests which NO indian captain were successful before...
Lucky Dhoni is, he is free from then Bombay politics which Kapil Dev had to suffer within team itself.:) Very soon, the politics of selection committee and BCCI will bend their tails with this remarkable victory and performance...
Dhoni should promote himself to one down like Sangakara of Srilankan wicket keeper and captain. Performing and delivering under pressure is the asset of Dhoni to set an example for rest of team as a captain.
The only shortcoming of Indian Team is consistency in performing outside India. If this is accomplished like then West Indies team till Vivian Richards and Australian Team till last world cup from Allan Border. Hope, Dhoni gets free hand in making Indian Team perform with consisteny outside India from now on.........

All dhobighat supporters started barking after one good performance of useless dhoni with bat after 40 failures. It is a hard known fact that any international player if given chance after 40 failures, he will click in one match & score fifty (even if he is tom , dick & Harry). Any other player with even 10 consecutive failures not given chance in team but rule is different for politician dhoni. He is the luckiest guy & now can play for another 10 years without any performance. As expected before wcup, most noticeable contribution came from match winners seniors like sachin (max runs), Zaheer (max wickets), Yuvi (allround performance) & sehwag (quick scoring). Dhoni & all his chamcha(youngistan) were big failure & just clicked in one in 9 matches.

Top performer for india 1) Yuvraj - 380 runs 15 wickets ( All round performance) 2) Zaheer - 21 wickets (Highest wicket taker) 3) Sachin - 450 runs (Highest run getter)- Architecht for Q/F, S/F win & tie against england. 4) Sehwag - 350 runs with highest strike rate- 5) Gambhir - 375 Runs (team builder almost scored all matches) Good support from munaf/ashwin also.
Remaning all were just in supporting role & dhoni being worst as he failed in 8 matches out of 9. All top performers were seniors but that joker dhoni praised junior for the success- thats why he is called politician of cricket.
Anyway I am happy that India win wcup & legend sachin is part of wcup winning team (only feature missing in his cap). Coach Gary kristen also played an important role.
3rd (India), 4th (Australia), 5th (Pakistan) and the 6th (Sri Lanka) cup champions are and were all mediocre teams compared to the brilliance of the winners of the 1st and 2nd world cup champions (West Indies) and 7th & 8th champions (Australia) !

Though I do not agree that our present team is mediocre, but I must say that a medicocre team winning the cup is all the more creditable. And let me remind you , not only has our team won the cup, it ranks no 1 in ICC rankings in tests as well as one day and this ranking is achieved by consistent performance over a period of time. However, there will be some people like you who will always crib.
