Now see dhoni performance in major wins- 1)2007 T-20 wcup- No score of 30 in entire wcup & no match winning inning (Any way India out in 2009/2010 T-20 wcup in 1st round under same captain- as a batsman also dhon-gi failed in all matches,2009 ICC ODI cup- india out in 1st round with dhoni faling in all matches as a batsman). 2)IPL 2010- chennai win but dho-bi failed in 11 matches out of 12 as a batsman 3)Wcup 2011- Except final failure in 8 consecutive maches in continuation to 5 failure in SA series. 4) In test India is no.1- courtsey sachin, sehwag, dravid, laxman, kumble & zaheer. No role of dhoni in it as his records very poor in test cricket against quality team with no match wining inning in entire career.
Thats why he is called lucky player & not a talented one. You can see his kundali & do research on it.

Chasing the biggest score on WC final & doing it at the rate at which Dhoni scored, simply amazing given the form he was in. He was very strategic to get himself in instead of in-form Yavaraj who is generally week again off-spinners (bunny to Murali usually) and also keeping left-right combination after Kohli fell was someone with only great leadership skills can do. Gavaskar was mentioning even 250 by SL for India chasing on a WC final is a huge ask. The key is the pressure chasing in a WC final. He archived that in style. No one can forget Gambhir for his brilliant effort. But Dhoni's was brilliant though its team effort & not one man show! Now apply for Citizenship to Bangladesh & settle down before commenting on Dhoni! No mean achievement to be a successful captain for #1 test team, #2 ODI team (maybe #1 already?), WC winner, IPL & CL winner. You jealous Dhoni bashers!
Get on new life elsewhere & don't complain - Now apply for Citizenship to Bangladesh & settle down to comment about Ashraful in your useless time!

Adding to the joy of India's World Cup triumph, tennis players Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi won their second title of the season, clinching the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, to become number one in the ATP World Tour Doubles Team Rankings.
Third seeded Bhupathi and Paes rallied to beat the second seeded Belarusian-Canadian pair of Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor 6-7(5), 6-2, 10-5.
Will people in India also celebrate it with crackers for this sport success?

Tennis, golf, badminton, TT, swimming being individual sport are never as mass-popular as soccer, American football and baseball. I believe these are more spectacular and the less popular sport escape public attention. In that way there is no other sportsman than Vishwanathan Anand from our country - I would give him the Ratna before Sachin. But who cares when he plays? No complaints yaar - there are many many sports out there and strangely cricket is the most popular in our country.
Great show by Team India. However, it is paining to see that there was no mention of Kapil Dev anywhere, who lifted the cup in 1983, and also on his own strtength. Can anyon forget the 175 Not out against Zimbabwe after 17/5, and the Catch of Richards in the Final.

I think Ravi Shastri was a part of 1983 team , I am not sure though. Only he was there but as a commentator. Both Kapil Dev and Mohinder Amarnath should be there. The achievements of both the 1983 and 2011 teams are amazing. Shame on Sharad Pawar and his greed.

same way like dhoni was passenger in this wcup before final, also passenger in SA series, also passenger in 2007/2009/2010 T-20 wcup as no contribution with bat. Ravi shatri was much better than useless dhoni as a player who won prestegius bensen & hedges w cup 1985 being player of tournamnet

Oye, stop living vicariously thru Dada. His time is long over. He has been thrown out of IPL as well. Go and fight with SRK.

Even ravi shatri won 1985 bensen w cup with his own strength. That was even bigger achievement as India won the cup being remain undefeated

in 2011 WC if someone publicly says that will it be of any relevance..meanwhile Kapil does not require such publicity he is already in our hearts..forever
It is time cricket fans start accepting that match fixing is probably the integral part of the game. They should enjoy the game like Americans do when they watch WWF(everyone knows its rigged). After all fixing or no fixing, a four remains a four. so enjoy with a blank mind. Is it a co-incidence that India won the cup after we had our man as ICC Chief and after the intriduction of IPL?????

Do not know about IPL, (but India lost two T20 World Cups with IPL going on), Jagmohan Dalmia also had a term as ICC President. India did not win a World Cup then.

Well this time around there was IPL, ICC Presidents last year, Master blasters last world cup, polital climate and scams needed a relief from media hammering. Lots of scam money was to be disposed. all these were factors. apart from that there is always pressure from various other quarters. Anyway try to enjoy every stroke and wicket but with a blank mind and without emotions. it will keep all in good health.
There were so many memorable games in this cup. Every game that England and India were a part of were great. I know this is strange but my favorite was that Ireland-England game - and that KoBrien knock because I dont think I have ever seen anything like that ever, thoroughly enjoyed it. Probably the final game was the best but I was more worried about the result than the game itself and I did not enjoy when two of our best got out early. A team consisting of 7 match winning batsmen deserves to win. Long live India Long live Sachin
Please show your support for the team - instead of finding small flaws or conspiracies. They beat all former champions in a single tournament, an achievement which justifies the win. Please thank our players and rejoice. Yuvi, Zaheer and Sachin - the trio were amazing. Everyone played their parts. The fielding was at its best in the last 3 games - a terrific team effort.
Great and strong plan. Neat execution. Good team work. Together Everyone Achieves More = TEAM. Dhoni planned and executed out. All erring politicians should learn lessons from these noble players who brought pride to the nation

dhoni himself a biggest politicain. What politicians will learn from him. Its trio of great sachin, zaheer, yuvi & support of sehwag/gambhir/munaf/ashwin that win cup for India. but at the end our hopeless media will give all credit to lucky dhoni who clicked in one match
