he makes up for the 2003 final.. now score many runs in final to shut others mouth.. if he scores & INDIA wins, it will be a perfect way to say ADIEU ODIs for him & will concentrate on TESTs only.. but even if not, he will do that too but in 1st case he will be able to do it in joy with a WORLD CUP win which is the only thing missing from his golden career kitty.. best of luck.. try to play tests for another 1 and a half year till mid to late 2012 & score over 15500 runs with over 100 international 100s & 33500 to 34000 runs he should finish with in 2012 at the age of 39!!! after playing almost 23 years!!!!!!

Dear Super nova, Why do expext sachin to give out money or donate. It is hard earned money. We payed to watch him play cuz he entertains us. There are few people who can entertain us like him.
Secondly how do u know that he demanded money for posing with our flag. Even if he did there is nothing wrong cuz he carries a lot of brand value and he jus sells it.
thirdly forget his recent records. just go back to early and mid nineties. our country had nothing to cheer about - There was no IT revelution, We were jus coming out of the license raj, unemployment was wide spread, and our politicians - all they could give us was scams, scams and more scams. the only good news would be from cricket and most of the time due to sachin. He made us forget all our worries, he made feel jubilant, he made us go crazy as if we won the match, he was one the very few reasons for us being proud of being an Indian. He gave us so many moments that we would cherish all our life. Those moments are priceless, and any body who give those priceless moments for a billion people IS a NATIONAL HERO

1. Many so called RTI activist are using the RTI Act for persoanl gains.
2. Additional Collector was trying to extract the money and got killed in the process. (Accused has given the satement to the effect.) 3. Yes Army (all three wings) are always our hero, but things like Adarsh put a doubt that corruption has also taking its roots there too. 4. Lots of charges against Mr. Swami. 5. Yes there are prople not publiscised doing good for the masses.
but by these arguments it does not prove that Tendulakar is not hero. He is hero of his domain i.e. Cricket and billions loved him to bat. Many young cricket dreams of to be like Tendulakr. If he can inspire so many people to do better in the field, I believe that he can certainly be catergoised as "Hero"
If Sachin cant get Bhrat Ratna now, he wont later! The stage is well prepared, the years of play, the hundreds, the advertisement companies, the TV/press media and the mania and and above all the Prez (A)Pratibha!
shouldn't india be worried about things like poverty, corruption, over population, water crisis rather than celebrating hundredth century in a stupid sport.

Well said.
A man was walking in the woods. Suddenly a tiger started chasing him. He ran and climbed up a tree, and sat on the strongest branch that could hold him. But the branch started breaking slowly. The tiger was still waiting below the tree. As he tried to hold on to the trunk, he noticed a hungry python climbing down towards him. He did not know what else to do, so he gave all hopes of survival.
As he vainly looked up towards the sky, a drop of honey from a honeycomb above him, dripped on his upper lip. He licked it with his tongue, closed his eyes, and thought to himself - 'how sweet it is'.
This world cup is just like that drop of honey for Indians.

He then broke off a twig and threw it up at the honey comb. The disturbed bees attacked the tiger abd the python which ran for cover which gave the man a chance to escape!

why do we show our patriotism only in cheering our cricketers. Why isn't the same zeal not shown in addressing big real problems this country is facing. why don't we compete with countries like canada, england in terms of development those countries have made. Why don't we realize that cricket is just an entertaining game, but nothing more than that. Whether we win the world cup or not, will it make any difference to the suffering a common man in india is going through.

People live with herd mentality . They are being fed to live and breath Cricket and overlook their Inflation problems. In India, people population may have touched 1.21 bn but majority of them are fools as they do not see the motive behind promoting Cricket through all means.

if possible convey this message to the people, politicians hoarding money in swiss bank accounts rather than feeling jealous of someone the whole world admires as a perfect sportsman and a thorough gentelman.

no country will become corrupt just because of corrupt politicians. we are in this situation, because of people like u and me who don't understand what is important for a country.

Can somebody explain as to why Congress party is hell bent in popularising Cricket by organising screening of Cricket matches thru LCD at road side Screening and giving much more publicity than it actually requires. It has been found that their workers are blocking roads across India to binge people with Cricket. Do Scam , Scandal Cases with Inflation issue not getting eclipsed with the hysteria being created. Gone are the past days when Cricket was respected, now this is labelled as fasdffixte. Even the euphoria of INDIA-PAK match has subsided within one day as people are grappling with their own problems.
man..anybody who has followed him...can find the same childish excitement snd schoolboy exuberance in him at age 38...which was there at age 17 in 1989...he is one in a trillion...
