We have big junkies like Srikanth who is selecting the team with no proper reasons. Why can't we have Gavaskar who is a legend as a Selection committee chairman. Atleast Gavaskar is responsible enough in whatever duties he handled. I agree he is biased towards Marathi players but not at the cost of india downfall. Srikanth is too biased and is selecting only Tamil nadu players at the cost of downfall. India used to play good cricket and now suddenly they started going in losing ways. It;s the time to remove junkies like Srikanth, Srinivasan etc from BCCI and start including respobsible people.

Hmmm that is a good idea. Bcoz srikanth doesnt hav cricketing intellect. If he is not removed atleast now with 6 months stil to go for wc, then expect another sure first round exit in 2011 WC
Re: Re: Replace Srikanth with Gavaskar

Srikanth has made IPL performances the base for selection in to the national team. That is unacceptable. Firstly we cant judge a player's ability to play in longer versions of cricket from the T20 cricket in IPL. And Secondly, then what is ranji, duleep, irani trophy etc being played in our country. Isn't there any value for those players who have been sweating it out in our first class cricket?
When i saw the news about bcci's election, i began to read the report anxiously in the hope that there would be elections for the post of chairman of selectors. Because I relaize that, without removing him and that too atleast 6 months before the start of 2011 WC, India will not go pass even the first round.Removing him alone won't solve the problems, but i consider that as a major step in India's revival in cricket
The fact about our cricket team is that, we have a talented and skillful batting line-up but a hopeless bowling attack. We must actually realize how great the indian batsmen were over the years. Bcoz, for eg: everytime when they are batting first in an ODI, they have a target of atleast 300 runs in order to carry any hope of an upset victory. And vice versa, when they are chasing, they will always be confronted with a target of not less than 300. Considering this scenario which our batsmen have been facing over the years, we must actually award khel ratna for each of them for their brave and gutsy performances. But thanks to mr srikanth, who has been heading our selction panel for the last one and a half years, we have begun to be vulnerable in the batting department also
