Difference between two is that Mumbai wins most Ranjis(which is considered a bad thing) and more importantly Rahane is Marathi. So Pujara gets the nod....
If Rahane's name was Sharma does anyone doubt his odds of selection?
However Pujara is a good bat and good luck to him.

Between Rahane and Pujari i will pick Pujari...he has singlehandedly won matches for Saurashtra...and moreover he is a middle order batsman which was the need of the hour.

Indian team has no quality spinner. all are club class spinners and our batsman including Tendu are club-class while paying overseas spinners.

instead of Murli Vijay, Yuvraj should have been picked. In case of an injury to an opening batsman, Rahul Dravid can easily open. Only if Strikanth was not the selector??

Dravid can easily open ? why should he open ? You gulli cricketeers really think opening the batting or comming 4-5 down is no big deal right ? Ever heard Ponting opening the batting ?
