I hope he never coaches INDIA! His tongue is nasty! But I would like to see him unearthing young teenage talents across the country - he has the eye for it!
I really want to see Viv Richards coach an IPL team before I can make my own opinion about Viv Richards!

With the success of Vijay and Pujara. The position of Gambhir is in doubt. I doubt if he is even selected for south africa. Rahul Dravid will be scrutinized now as he failed in the past 2 series.

I think Gambhir is a average opener like some others specially in Test Matches(not good with new ball). Its because of Sahwag contribution that remove his pressure and gives more time to set.

Gambhir is best test batsman of India after Sachin and Laxman currently. He can never drop. Gambhir is equally important ODI batsman as Dhoni, Yuvi and Sachin are. Gambhir is best T-20 batsman of India after Yuvi.
We sent a second string team for Zimbabwe Tour with youngsters like Raina, Kohli etc; under Kirsten . They did miserably. what does it tell about his Coaching ability ? But one thing is sure that he is a fantastic Man- manager, positive person and cool tempered.

Judge on what the team is capable of and what the result team got. The team on ZIm tour was 3rd string side of India not 2nd string. Result was expected still we able to beat Srilanka in one match. So I will give 7 out of 10.
