I see a lot of comments about Dhoni. I accept the fact the he is not good form recently, But remember that the same set of biggies (Sachin, dravid, laxman, sehwag, Harbhajan) was there in atleast with previous 2-3 captains and no-one was able to win matches for India like dhoni. People should also remember that he won the inaugural IPL T20 championship with NONE of these biggies. His team in IPL has performed exceptionally very well in the last 3 editions when compared to other teams. He won Test series/matches against all top nations recently. Please dont underestimate the capability of Dhoni. All of us should be proud to have a YOUNG and good captain for India. Wish you the best for Dhoni and Team India

Dravid/kumble/sachin etc captained against strong Aus teams By same logic Ponting is a great captain

Talk some sense mr Subra. You look another low IQ dhobighaat supporter without any logic. Dhoni has no role in any of test win. For your Information even under dravid captaincy India won many test matches. India won series in WI after 15 yrs. series in england after 12 yrs. India won first test in SA. Also India won 18 ODI's chasing. A world record. All under captaincy of dravid. But no hype as he was not a media or political man like useless dhoni. Even kumble & ganguly won test matches in his captaincy. India is doing well in tset for many years now all courtsey biggies like dravid, sachin, laxman, kumble,zaheer, bhaii, sehwag etc. It is not that india become no.1 overnight. dhoni was just lucky to carry the momentum of winning team & captaining a great side . his own contribution was zero in all test win. In t-20 after fluke win at 1st ODI, his performance as captain/player is pathetic & India have lost almost all matches in T-20 in last 2 yrs as no seniors there. In ODI also india has hardly won any match against quality team when sachin /sehwag rested. his own record as batsman is pathetic & never deserve a palce in team. So plaese don't make fool to any one mr Subramanyam. Any captain is as good as his team & on merit dhoni doesn't desrve a palce in any format of game
I think it is unfair comparison.Facing infamous body bowling by Larwood and others of skipper jaredin's team without any prtective gear and todays well protected batsman is hell of a difference.
Dhoni is lucky captain because he get Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag in side. If we eliminate these player I am sure Indian team will be defeated in 4th day of any test match. People who give credit to Dhoni are absolutely wrong, the whole credit will go to Sarubh Ganguly. If we talk about Sachin, he is still great, we should proud that we have such wonderful player which we ever seen in cricket

Dhoni never desrve a palce in test as a player on merit. Who cares for his captaincy. If captain win matches why India performance in t-20/ODI is pathetic in last 2 yrs under same captain. Because we do not have strong team like test in t-20. Its player who win matches & not captain. It is hype created by media, & few political & low IQ fans.
The famous former captain and commentator Richie Benaud said captaincy is 90% luck and 10% skill but do not try without that 10%. dhoni has used up a major part of his luck and the skill part is still not completely over may be he has it in him to win WC 2011. But do not think India would win WC without Sachin

When we are discussing greatest eleven of world all time- even discussing name of medicore dhoni is insult of cricket. Only few low IQ political supporter of dhobighaat can do this sports crime.
11 was gud but n every team v need a black mark...so the best choice for being selfish is sachin the demi god of indian cricket. So cricinfo picked him in the all time XI. Now start i m not cared...........punter or steve waugh is far better then selfish sach

The very fact that Sachin makes it to every All Time XI while Ponting doesn't make it to even one such team, tells us who is better.

What's most satisfying is to see the frustration of Tendulkar's critics ....LOL. Nothing is more sweeter than to watch them burn in pain and agony watching him get all the accolades.
Viv was a hero..i just had very little to watch before he retired, but he was very bold cricketor i have seen and i hope that every bowlet must have fear from him before bowling to him..
