You just cannot discount the greatest, so, don, gary and shane deserve it. But if anyone deserved more than the 100% it is Sachin. I am sure Tony Greig and Ian Chappel and tony something of WI would have not voted for him. Sachin decimated warne and in itself is a testimony that he should have been before bradman and Sobers. One should get the facts straight, Sachin has dominated like no one else. Anyone defying this rating does not know cricket.

yes its really an mess, y aussie came 3 time to india i.e in 2007,2009,2010. Whereas v gone only once there. Y india play normally most of the series in india. y from last 2 yrs srilanka played so many series against india. its really an mess.
So these articles have any real meaning? Tomorrow there will be another article 'Don't compare me with Gavaskar', then another article 'Viv Richards is more attacking than Sachin' .. these are really some mediocre articles with the same banter but no real substance. If you want to read good cricketing artickes, visit cricinfo or wisden sites.

ok then I stand corrected. Even cricinfo nowadays publishes mediocre articles.

for his first 50 and last 40 tests he is your mid 40s average kind of player and then from 2002-2007 he has these huge numbers which inflates his overall career averages.
Ponting career can at the best be described as erratic. He had his extended purple patch during 2002-2006 which makes his overall career look much better than it actually has been. He has simple been lucky to play for a team which has won 68% of the time he has played.

his purple patch could be attributed to the graphite bat he wqas using....should it be coincidence that moment he, hayden and also Jayasurya were asked to stop using it there batting declined
