A good statistical analysis of SRT perfromance over the years and it seems he getting better as he becomes "old"!!!
From Cricinfo: Sachin Tendulkar is getting older, and his skills are getting better and better. At the ripe age of 37 years and 169 days, Tendulkar has become the first batsman to get to 14,000 Test runs. Even better than the fact that he got there was the manner in which he raced from 13,000 to 14,000. If the question were asked, "Is Tendulkar playing the best he ever has?", the answer could well be, "Yes, he is."
Tendulkar reached 13,000 early this year, against Bangladesh in Chittagong. At the end of that match, he had 13,091 runs; since then, he has required only 12 more innings to crack the 14,000 mark, averaging more than 84 during this period, which is the highest he has ever averaged to get from one 1000-run mark to the next. Twelve innings is the least he has needed ever, and he has scored an amazing four hundreds and three fifties - including a 98 in the previous Test - during this period.
Tandia.....You made 14000 runs.....now you have to go to mars and play there.....you deserve to play there not here....lot of people waiting to play cricket for India...

sunil k at the end u r proved u r blind even after I said I play Cricket. This shows you are eother Blind or don't have any Brain. I think I should bowl few yorkers and probably few bouncers and injure you not to think about cricket then you may be grow up as a Man. What else you can do then abusing? Better make you forget typing

Congrats for scoring 14000 runs.Sachin should play till he is 46 atleast till 42. There have been players who have played into their 40s. Sachin can score 20,000 test runs. When Gooch can play till 42 and traicos till 46 Sachin can surely play.I am sure he will still be in India's top 5 batsman even at the age of 45.

I think few Brit players played after 50 years also but I think Sachin knows well how long his body can cope with the International requirements, He can retire from ODI's after 2011 WC but that also mean he will be out of Match Practice since India Barely plays 12 Tests in a year. I wish he reach around 16k Runs

This is a continuation of our bhajji debate, mr bean Lets try all other spinners in india. What is mr bhajji delivering by being in the indian team. We haven't gone for a big series abroad(only one nzl series and they don't have a decent test squad)after kumble's retirement. So even in tests, i doubt his ability outside the sub continent. If we believe that he is the only available spinner, then its better we don't play cricket. Lets all other prospects play test and odi's (incl ashwin), and atleast make him believe that his position is under scrutiny. At the moment he is having a free run, no matter what he does on the field. He has taken his place for granted
