Conditions for Sachin to score tons of runs??
by MeetFireWithFire on Nov 11, 2010 09:31 PM  | Hide replies

1) Need an excellent start by Sehwag or openers.

2) If openers fail to provide at least 100 runs, the middle order should not fail. Hard to recollect if he had scored runs by batting with lower order. One may claim that he comes in at number 2 in ODIs and number 4 in tests and hence he will not have a chance to bat with lower order. But it turns out that there are many such instances where he was required to bat with lower order. Be it the ODIs or take it to the test cricket, we could easily count the number of times he has bailed out the country under pressure.

COUNTABLE implies very few, considering the stature he enjoys as the GOD of cricket.

What has Sachin done to warrant so much recognition?
by Jaya S on Nov 11, 2010 08:28 PM  | Hide replies

An honest gem like VVS cannot find a place in the WorldCup squad since 2003 but this guy got so many chances to perform when the team needs and always fails. It is not enough if you play well in group matches, one must perform in knock out games. Check out Sachin's record in such cases. Bhajji would have performed better than him. A case in point is the Ahmedabad test. Also, he is a total failure when it comes to captaincy and strategy. So he is just extra baggage for the world cup.

Yes Bhaji is the only batsman in the Universe to score 200 runs in ODI against a team like South Africa and that too at the age of 37;
Jaya you are Jaya bhaduri of Cricket

Tendulkar moderately failed in 1 Test match and he is getting abused. Looks like the guideline for him is to perform in each and every innings he plays. Failure to do so would result in fans abusing him. Keep it up, extremely realistic expectations from a human being - NEVER TO FAIL!

yes dire straits, it is surprising that even after stealing other 10 players performances and getting credit for doing nothing this non playing batsman passenger is abused so much.

Stealing other player's performance - Only a retard of the highest degree will ever accuse a player of 'stealing' other's performance, which is impossible to do so.

Getting credit for doing nothing - I guess being the highest run scorer in Test cricket in 2010 is equivalent to doing nothing in your books.

Non-playing batsman - Thanks for clearing all of our doubts and declaring that you are a by-birth imbecilic f.o.o.l of the highest degree. A player who is averaging more than 70 this year according to you in a non-performing one.

Moral of the Story - It's better to keep your mouth shut and let others think you to be a f.o.o.l, rather than opening it and removing all doubts.

dire straits all specialist batsmen in our team are 50 plus average batsmen. and out of all these calling only one of them great and all others useless is idiocy of the highest order.

moral of the story-its better to first understand what is cricket what is performance and then call others a fool. otherwise you will be the laughing stock of all the people who really understand cricket.

"GOD OF CRICKET"
by Rajesh Gupta on Nov 11, 2010 05:09 PM  | Hide replies

Any player who is not ready to retire, is generally shown the exit door. A particular player, who play better than 19 year olds at d age of 37 , can only play and make the records. This is the reason every cricket knowing person says him "GOD OF CRICKET".
