RAINA IS NOW OUT AND THE GREAT DHONI DHAMAKA COMING
by subrata banerjee on Nov 07, 2010 03:04 PM  | Hide replies

Few days back BANGLADESH washed out this NEWZEALND cricket team by 4-0 in one day series and Bangladesh captain commented that we have broken their SPINAL CORD now INDIA THE CHAMPION will break their neck and the the NEWZEALAND CRICKET TEAM WILL RETURN TO HOME TOTALLY BROKEN.
Alas, see the condition of WORLD CHAMPIONS AND THE PERFORMANCE OF GREATS LIKE DRAVID, LAXMAN, DHONI DHAMAKA. But the medias have been consistantly shouting for these dead horses and if one of them score a century or a reasonable big score after scoring dozen of bad innings these INDIAN MEDIAS will speak loudly for them by giving special name like :- WALL THE DRAVID. DHAMAKA THE DHONE, MOST IGNORED GREAT BATSMAN LIKE LAXMAN. I fail to understand why Indian selectors choose these old horses instead of trying promising new blood from the side bench? If India is beaten in this test, I hope, it will be great shame to our country as most of the NEWZEALAND players are almost new blood save and except one or two old players. Still, what a gallant show by the KEWIS. HAT'S OFF TO THEM IN ADVANCE.

changes required in the team personnel
by rajath on Nov 07, 2010 02:57 PM  | Hide replies

1.Dravid has to live upto the lofty standards he had set.Hope he takes this and the South african tour as a test for himself.
2.Gambhir probably needs rest for a couple of games. Not a bad idea to try Vijay.
3.Dhoni can not be considered as a player who deserves a place in a national team like India. He is simply short of skills, moreover he is full of narrow mentality which makes me remeber the word 'Vinaashe kaale vipareetha buddhi'
4.What is that which makes selectors to consider Sreeshanth as a fast bowler for the tests. He simply lacks control over his bowling.Runs in from a long distance, just delivers the ball with a loose grip without bothering about the line and length, takes a fluke wicket or two when the ball lands at a right spot(probabilty is very low) amidst plenty of loose stuff.
Persisting with players like dhoni and sreeshanth strengthens one saying in kannada "Kari naayina bili maadhaage' i.e.how so ever you try(wash) you can't make a black dog into a white dog.

Have we completely forgoten Irfan Pathan. To my mind he is still lot better than shreesanth. For selectors - is he out of sight means out of mind ?

dont bring here reputation..
on form for the past 6 months..

i know harbhajan is proven performer....my point is Ohja looks promising,ie consistent in terms of picking wickets and importantly he choke the batsman by not conceding too many runs.

Umpiring
by Pradeep Sujir on Nov 07, 2010 10:32 AM  | Hide replies

Why talk of umpires when only India missed chances..In the Aussie series it looked like Billy Bowden was on the payroll of BCCI with so many decisions going in favour of Indiaesp the lbw of Ojha in the second innings which replays showed as out and Aus would have won by 2 runs. Now,it is clear why BCCI is opposing URDS.

WADA or no WADA, there is thorough dope testing of everyone before every major ICC tournament. Remember Shane Warne got caught before 2003 World Cup. If any Indian cricketer used any banned drugs he would have been caught anyway, like Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Amir.
