Who will be the captain and this is the time we must support India morally instead of trying to degrade them. Defeats are always part of cricket and you must accept with that fact
Dravid is becoming useless for the team. He couldn't make runs himself, and also ran out Sehwag, the only man who could have easily made runs today. Let us try Pujara in his place. And if Raina keeps getting out like this, Yuvraj may be brought back again.

What about the rest? They are worst than him. Atleast he scored a century in 1st innings. Then who should go first?

Ramu it ok... after long gap he made century...so his time is over i guess..his age is also a big factor..38yrs..Indian Wall who did his best in his earlier days from long time he is not in his best form..and in this age its very difficult to bounce back... He should gave away his place to youngstars like Pujara,Vijay or Kohili...

Do u know the value os his knock in 1st innings? Dont speak crap. Even Sachins avg was worse than Dravid. SPeak Sensible. Every body failed At least he is trying to score

How long he will continue his failure..all most his carrier is now over..dont comapre with Sachin mate..Sachin avg is always higher then Dravid.. everyone know that he is in the team beacuse of his earlier sucess..he is still in test team beacuse of his golden days ( 1996 - 2006 )..
Pl update me his avg and his centuries and match winning knock after 2006.. Start from 1st Jan 2007 to till date...
At the age of 38 whn is not in good form better to retire so that somebody else can atlest get a chance to play for India..
recently failure in SL series, Australia series...how long he will contunue this form..very difficult to bounce back at this age..
Re: How long can Laxman hold fort?
by phaneeswar on Nov 07, 2010 07:05 PM
That's not a bad idea but at this time we must look out for a young gun to be at no 3 because it is the crucial spot for test cricket and all these years Dravid has done exceptionally well. Time has come to give that slot to a young gun rather to a player who is about to retire about a year.
One more match where again Tendulkar not performed when indian team need the him to stay on wicket. According he is master blaster but not useful when requird.
Re: Tendulkar show
by Aneesh Ramachandran on Nov 07, 2010 05:48 PM
Then what is the role of other 10 players???? you stupid think tendulkar is the only batsman? LOL
1.In reality we need a fast bowler who can consistently bowl around the offstump area and move the ball both ways just enough and get enough bounce.Currently only Munaf Patel can do this. 2.It's enough.Dhoni should be replaced by Karthik.Karthik is slightly over enthusiastic. If he relaxes a bit then he can show in terms of runs, the fact that he is technically a far superior batsman compared to dhoni. So ideally the next test playing 11 should look like. 1.Vijay (better to rest Gambhir for a few games.) 2.Sehwag 3.Dravid (he should relax while batting) 4.Tendulkar 5.Laxman 6.Raina 7.Karthik 8.Harbhajan/Mishra 9.Zaheer 10.Ojha 11.Munaf

let's make munaf-the lazy as captain. that's the only way to keep his place in the team..

Stop being paranoid! Winning is a habit.. India needs to win on a consistent basis.. A defeat can demoralise a team and this team goes on a losing streak, if it starts losing..A defeat need not bring introspection.. Winning builds momentum and ups the morale..
I still see India winning this match.. All 3 results are possible as yet..
Dravid does not seem to be self-assured now a days out side the off stump. Dhoni will do well to send Laxman at no 3 as he is in prime form. If at all this test is saved it is going to be Laxman.
Re: Dravid
by Mike Teflon on Nov 07, 2010 05:10 PM
Dravid is not in form.. But give him time.. He saved India on a many an occasion.. He still has an year or two left in him..
But, Yes, Laxman is in prime form.. Send him at 3..
Also, 150 should be a good score on a crumbling wicket.. We may even win.. All 3 results are possible yet..

HAHAHA...At the age of 38Yrs ( Rahul Dravid ) Mike u r saying that we give him time...boss in my opinion his time is over...at thsi age its very difficult to bounce back...
Re: Re: Re: Dravid

I agree, he can't go on forever.. n youngsters need to be blooded..
But, his experience cannot be ignored, it doesn't take long for a class & technically correct player to regain his form.. Mind you he is no yuvraj.. If he comes back to form in this series, he would help India win the all important South Africa series..
Having said that, Pujara has been unreasonably dropped..
