Ponting, don’t be such a loser. Even if there was best of 3 finals do you really think aus would have won? Looking at the way both teams played in this tournament, England would not have needed to play the third match.
Remember the last 2 times you played in best of 3 finals? In CB series ODI 2008, India won 2 straight finals. So did England in 2007 CB series ODI 2007. On both occasions the third final was redundant.

actually, i think there should be best of 3 in each and every game played. even in league (Super eight) and knock out stage.

Mr.Ponting,you loose and immediately try to re-visit the format? I would have appreciated if this comment had come before the finals.... Don't take the credit away from England...they were much better on the day and deserve to win.
ponting is much personal feud against sachin that he just wanted to break his test century record...that's the reason he is not in T20 squad...
shame on u panter...Australian always says they hv team spirit ..is this not only a personal achievement? ... u never break sachin's record..becoz...u r a looser n always complaining... may be after retirement..u complain..i didn't break sachin's record becoz..i didn't want to...

it's all internal politics bro... there r so many unanswered question.. panter is more selfish than sachin...i didn't say sachin is entirely god..he also hv flaws but i never want ponting to break his record..no ill will

Sachin is more selfish than anyone then comes kallis...Sachin never fired in Final ..Look at WC03 final how pointing under pressure of captaincy scored 100 and won the game as well..what did sachin do..4runs in Final just again Man of the series

I dont think he never fired in finals.. In the finals we won, he played a major part except for the Natwest finals i think!!

MR australia lost two times in final due to sachin one famous sarjhah .. and second CB series where he scored 119* and 94 tell me who othre batsman in the world done that chasing in the final ....even great westindies cudnot chase 183 and sachin has chased down twice 270 alone so correct ur fact

it doesn't prove he is selfish.. he failed in pressure situation...i agree..he never fired in finals becoz of pressure.. n everybody knows batting first is easy compare to second innings... he got MOS...then blame jury members...

vikrant is right cent percent...sachin n kallis are the two most selfish criceters!!
India won by fluke....Pakistan won by fluke. England won on merit, but Australia were no less and best of 3 finals would be a right way to go about in these tournaments for future……even in IPL.
