Re: India missed Sehwag at the top.

Ha ha... Good joke! Have you seen him pull? There was no width offered during those matches. This fella will try to cut a ball which is at his ribs and get back to the pavilion.
I guess, Richards is the right option to instill some guts and "real" aggression so that the bewildered batting line up can stand up!

Sehwag often creates his own width by backing away and plays some unorthodox shots. He would have made some impact for sure.

He was known as the Original Master Blaster. All of the present day players from Sachin to Viru, Lara, Warne, Ponting, Inzamam, VVS, Rahul, Pieterson, etc rate him as their hero and idol.

yaa, he one day international average is 47(whereas Gavaskar, Srikkanth, shastri are all less than 31). In modern cricket where many matches exceed 300 runs many players arerage crosses 40, still Tendulkar and ponting are not able to cros 45, this guy has 47. In the days when a strike rate if 60 to 70 is considered as good, he has a strike rate of 90 , truly fabulous

Even today i see his matches on YOU TUBE, what style and presence he had. Without helmet, those quicks (the 1970s and 1980s had the most quicks in the game's history), he lorded over them. They feared him. I also saw him in flesh and batting, he was one of a kind. From the present day i like Viru, his style of playing is similar to King Viv.
well there r many in india who can teach them to play on seaming nd bouncy trakcs sachin, sourav, rahul, gavaskar, vishwanath, laxman, kapil dev all have playedmore than 100 tests nd have played nd performed on foreign pitches

Exactly, he was the best player of fast bowling and the best hooker of the ball. He faced the quicks at their peak in the early 1980s and took them on with raw courage. Viswnath too was very good, magnificent player of both fast and spin bowling.

I am not talking of that kind of hooker. But the hooker of a cricket ball, hook shot of the cricket ball.

We have a tendency of not accepting our own products/services. We presume that only foreign products/services are superior. Hence we can welcome Viv Richards's offer to train our batsmen.
