Feeling the heat
by Yogesh Hasabnis on May 11, 2010 01:47 PM

I am satisfied that those people who were responsible for the untimely and premature exit of Sourav Ganguly from international cricket are feeling the heat. It seems that they thought they were not answerable to anybody.

Think before you say something Lalchand
by Jay on May 11, 2010 01:28 PM

Are you sane Mr. Lalchand ? how can someone like you even think of India qualifying for the semi final when these guys lost 2 out of 2 in the super 8 round.

I am also disappointed with Ganguly when he tries to preach how T20 is so very 'unpredictable' ! give me a break. It's not like playing for the Kolkata baboons or playboys or whatever your team's IPL name is. This is team India representing the wishes and hopes of billions of Indians. Yeah T20 is unpredictable but it's like f**k it ! the Indians didn't even look better than Bangladesh when they bowled and folded cheaply in a way that would have made Afghanistan proud. World champions my a$$. Hell India don't even deserve to play in this championship following the overrated garbage called IPL.

Don't understand .....
by Dire Straits on May 11, 2010 01:27 PM  | Hide replies

Why exactly why people are so disappointed with this cartoon T20 format. This is not even cricket, kind of like a soap opera.

The real thing will start soon - the Asia Cup. That's what I'm looking forward to. It will be followed by a 3 Test series in Sri Lanka.

And just for the info -

1. We are at #1 spot in the real thing i.e Test cricket.

2. We are at the #2 spot in the second most important format i.e ODI cricket.

Potential in Indian Players
by ssk on May 11, 2010 01:23 PM

Indian players has the potential to beat any of its opponent but they have lack of confidence in them but it’s not there mistake, We Indian public are responsible for this as our players are more afraid of Janta than a bouncer of the bowlers .I hope we should stop encouraging / criticizing our players & give importance to other sports .

India will rise from the ashes!
by sandeep kumar on May 11, 2010 01:10 PM  | Hide replies

Every team needs major luck to win a world cup. We saw that in Pakistan in 1992. Actually its better that india lost earlier, now if they win one match, they carry the momentum to the semis and finals. Dont forget that team india is No1 ranked, so losing 2 matches can happen to anyone. WE have the worlds best batting line up(even without sehwag) and bhajji and zaheer to bowl out the lankans.
The indian revival starts NOW!! Chak de!

Well said. Losing two matches can happen to anyone.
And the most likely team that it can happen to is to the Number one team... :)

Please explain
by Ashutosh Tiwari on May 11, 2010 01:06 PM  | Hide replies

But Mr. Rajput can you explain the inclusion of this item named jadeja in the team. He seems to be an all rounder in all departments of the game i.e. he can not bat, bowl and basic he can not field as well. So Mr. Dhoni has to be blamed for the selection of such a waste in the team.

Why only srikanth?Why not dhoni?
by Amit Bhatnagar on May 11, 2010 01:04 PM

First of all whole selection committe is responsible(of course Srikkanth also). Then Captain and team management should also be set guilty for debacle. Why when team india won, Dhoni was declared the best ever captain? When team performs low then Selectors are solely responsible with all the allegations of zonal quota and blah blah. Did dhoni lead the team from the front in any of the 4 matches played by india in this edition? And finally the individuals like Vijay, Zaheer, Bhajji,Yuvi, Gambhir,Dhoni and at last of course jadeja should be brought under scrutiny for low performance. There would be a lot of guys who will say, why Bhajji? but he is not taking wickets at all, which is incapability on his part. if we remove 2-3 performance from his account then i dont recall that he came out as a match winner like murlidharan, warne,Johnson,Nannes,Saeed Ajmal etc.
