I guess you all forgot what transpired in the recent IPL tournament where our God sachin Tendulkar claimed a catch that clearly bounced in front of him. I do not think it is ever fair to talk ill of one of greatest captain of modern era ,Ricky Ponting .. I remember dhoni claiming a bounced catch in england when india toured england on the last ocassion. Show some respect to Ricky Ponting.. His greatness is unmatched .. I say this becuase not only he was part of a great era but now he has built his own team . Not many have had this achievement in their resume .

Hi Pseudo, i had replied to the comment you made to my post yesterday. i checked today but you hadn't answered. perhaps you have not visited that page again. let's continue our discussion here. my post was-LG, dhoni is no coward captain, neither is he lucky to get captaincy. he has performed outstandingly as a captain and wicket-keeper. his records speaks for itself. he has so far lost only one test and won so many in his short career so far it is awesome. he led india to no. position in one dayers and tests won T20 WC. many times he even did not have key players due to injuries and he had to make do with second choice players still his record is so good. in previous posts i had posted about his one day achievments. i will also give you his own performance as a batsman under his own captaincy. it is ridiculous to suggest that he basks in the glory of match winners like sachin, dravid, laxman, sehwag in ODI and test matches. he himself is also a match winner has also performed outstandingly, in no way less than the players you have mentioned. his odi performance under his own captaincy is 78 matches, 68 innings, 18 times not out, 2943 runs at an average of 58.86 with a strike rate of 85.10 with 4 100's and 21 50's. also his own performance as a batsman under his own captaincy is 13 matches, 18 innings, 4 times not out, 1006 runs at an average of 71.85 with 3 100's and 8 50's. so as a captain he has always led from front and has did outstandingly in all the departments

LG, start admitting the truth, the facts and avoid making a laughing stock of yourself
i have given above dhoni's batting performances in odi and tests under his own captaincy. He has even won a MOM in a test against Australia. in fact he seems to thrive under pressure and added responsibilities as a captain. the more burden you put on him the more he comes out shining. he must to be one of the very few players in the history of cricket whose performance as a captain is better than his performance when he is not a captain. all the other indian captains have performed a shade less than their usual performance when they get the added responsibility of being a captain. do you know any captain indian or otherwise whose performances have become better when you increase burden on him?
To which pseudo you commented-Vaidya:
Good... can you SHOW us that performance that you so glibly talked about, please?? :)
Maybe you will still be writing the same things after yet another "performance" by the Indian team.... :)
As to quoting statistics, I am really glad that you did that.... BTW what's your take on Sachin's statistics?? :) And secondly, do you think Dhoni will still continue delivering the "stellar performance" you have been trying to demonstrate out here after another 10 years at the crease? :)

Vinay:
What ICC did. They just imposed a 15% fine on him for a gross misconduct shown on the field (which you don't want youngsters to start following). You are shouting away as if this is the end of the world and Rohit has become penniless.. This is ridiculous... :)

What about that silly Billy Bowden being penalised for being so stupid? Say two match ban or send him off to umpire in county matches till he gets his vision corrected.

Against Pseudos: No sane person is saying the umpires should be hanged. So stop using dramatic phrases, (like the you used in your previous message e.g. Hang them like Kasab) to make your invlid point sound valid. The umpires made a mistake and while that's part of the game. It's just that because the mistake was made which resulted in our (Indian) player was given out wrongly, it hurts a bit. That's all there is to it. Stop trying to sound like a smart ass by making illogical phrases.
there must be some disciplinary action against the on field umpires. They r not dons.they should also be fined or banned for wrong decisions too.its high time that ICC should take up the mattter strongly and seriously
