Rayudu, who performed well in the Ranji Trophy and in the recent IPL, should have been included in either of the teams chosen for the Zimbabwe tri-series or for the 'A' tour of england. He is a very talented player and a sure India material but is getting raw deal both at the state level (thru. shivlal yadav) and at national level ( thru.Srikant). Tendulkar has spotted the talent in him long back and chosen him at the first available instance for the Mumbai Indians team. Now that he is in the mainstream cricket (after his return from ICL), the selectors should give him a chance to prove at the highest level, without wasting much time.
The selectors have a tough job in hand and it remains to be seen how they handle the challange of team building for the 2011 WC.As far as batting is concerned the picture is somewhat clear with resting of Sachin and possibly Yuvi also.Question marks are on two batters, namely D/Kartik and Y/Pathan. However the ‘final’ squad of bowlers is somewhat hazy still. Among pacers Ishant,Sreeshant,P/Kumar,A/Nehra,Z/Khan,RP Singh would be among the top probables.,unless youngsters among A/Dhinda,U/Yadav etc.do exceptionally well to upset the established ones.Even Z/Khan’s place doesn’t look secure. Among spinners Bhajji and P/Ojha should make the cut. Among the yongsters Amit Mishra looks somewhat dispirited thanks to Dhoni preferring R/Jadeja over him for the last two yrs.On the other hand R/Jadeja looks very defensive bowler whose one erratic over can spoil the rhythm of other specialist spinners and pacers.Further, his inclusion disturbs team balance. R/Ahwin may be a better proposition. However, if the selectors are looking for a ‘left-arm’ slow bowler then Murali Kartik is the obvius choice who is in his peak form and a match winner these days. He is certainly more aggressive than R/Jadeja.M/Kartik should easily be part of 2011 WC squad.

think you gone mad, Uttappa recovering from the operation done to his finger and shoulder.
Looking at th e team and recent performances by the players, I am not sure we are well prepared for 2011. Besides sachin, i don't see any batsman being consistent against a quality bowling line up. We are relying on Sachin a lot. Selectors must not ignore some like Dravid, he needs to be in squad. to fill in for sachin in case sachin is either injured or if he needs rest. In bowling we need more penetration Zaheer and Harbhajan are good I hope Praveen and Nehra would make the best of this series. Need a leg spinner and left arm spinners so bowlers need to learn things fast or WC 2011 is gone.
Yuvraj is exciting batsman to watch and a good fielder but that's all he is. I am not comparing with sachin and dravid but at his age they were on top of their game. Yuvraj is a batsman we need in WC 2011. So he should now be more focussed on his batting and take this welcome break. He should become more patient and exhibit better temperament. But if he fails to make good use of this break and doesn't perform well in WC 2011. Then I think his future is all but over. I wish all the best to Yuvraj. I wonder why the selectors are considering Dravid, he was not removed from the team because of bad form, in last 2 ipls he played better than any Indian player.
Its good he gets lots of chances now.... at least selectors might realise before WC that he is a bag of scum..... to be precise he belongs to the genre of "Always promising never delivering" players who take that sting out of an otherwise formidable Indian lineup.

but even jadeja is in worst batting form. atleast pathn has the experience keeping in mind w'cup
Its good decision by the selectors as far as world cup is concerned. It will give time for yuvaraj to get back into the form and it will give young stars like rohit and virat to prove them selves. there is no need to panic about it.
