Please sir.. Go and see Vijay's record in domestic and everyone knows he performed well in IPL too. There is nothing wrong in giving him a chance.. Born in same state as Chairman is not a crime sir..

Where is decipline in this team???
by kalyan tr on Jun 08, 2010 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

Manish Pandey played well evenin Ranji trophy. Remember selection bias kept aside we still have the problem of stars retains the places. Fitness, commitment, dedication and decipline is important for everything. Ask the dravids, sachins, kumbles kapils of what it means to be in a national side. Though india were being beaten everywhere, players like eknath solkar continued to play with pride, and mind you money was never there then. Ingrediants are missing which needs to be addressed than the state the resource represents.

Dont worry ...these "bunch of jokers" still believe that their fevourite"gully" crickters will bring glory to indian cricket by winning matches abroad.....neglecting a player of dravid's caliber in all formats of the game and promoting "gully" crickters ...jadeja, pathan, etc...will be their main task, nothing else.....another humiliating defeat is round the corner at "dambula" pitch which assist seam bowling.....god save indian cricket frm this bunch of jokers

Rightly said. I am a follower of cricket for whom the game is important. The manner of the loss hurts more than the loss itself. I dont remember a Dravid or Kumble coming out in the open for any wrong reasons... Its their descipline routines which keeps them going. We have no fast bowlers and spinners only spin their names. And batsmen?? least said the better. We need 11 players for a team and not stars to make a movie. This is no fiction, Sports is a reality

Two negative under Dhoni's captaincy......

1.He didn't give new bowl to Irfan
2.Couln't utilize Yusuf

As far as Agarkar concerned, he was on his best under Dravid captaincy but now it's time is over. It's time to move ahead.

There are many negatives.

He never give chance to youngsters or any new comers.

He always go with his instinct then thinking twice

I think India can do well without those Pathan brothers

Sudhakar:

Good point. Also adding to the list - Why Cheteshwar Pujara not getting chance? Why RP Singh kept out? Why Shikhar Dhawan never considered? Why Amit Mishra shunted in and out? Why Murali Karthik suddenly disappeared?.....
I think there are about 23,787 registered players in India, and it will be too long to do a full debrief on the absolute rot the selection committee is proving to be, by not considering and selecting all of them at once... ;-)
