Srikanth is trying to divert the attention
by kumar on Jun 08, 2010 01:02 AM  | Hide replies

Everyone knows that Srikanth should take the responsibility for the loss. Instead of taking the responsibility Srikanth is acting too smart by diverting the attention by not selecting Yuvraj. Now whole public will be discussing about Yuvraj rather than the reasons on why india lost against weaker teams. Srikanth knows he created a big mess by selecting his pets Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik. Even Raina got frustated and declared openly that Vijay and Karthik are Junk players. Now Srikanth wants to save his by any cost. Hence he is playing all these politics.
However he needs to understand that he is digging his own grave by doing this.

Kumar:

You are right. Srikkanth should take the responsibility of the loss. He should either have batted better or selected at least 9 players from TN to lend credence to your theory. :)
As it is, since the whole 11 players failed, you find it difficult to justify that it was Srikkanth's fault that we lost. :)

well set Pseudos. It is the collective failure of 11 players. Without giving sufficient opprtunities(means continuous) to Karthik, Vijay, & Badri these fools expect Miracles.Does these fools know what is the average for Yuvi,Bhajji,Gambir when their carrer started. Still they are failure in initial stages they are given a lengthy run (continuous) of 25 matches to mature. How these idiots expect miracle from Vijay & other TN players who were given a maximum of 2 matches in a stretch & what will be their confidence level? Why Yusuf & Jadeja is persisted for more than 25 matches inspite of their failure ? why such opportunity was not given to TN players ? If a team wins it is a collective effort of 11 players. In defeat it is the same. Even Media writes if INDIA wins DHONI's men win. If india loses it is because selectors. What a foolishness ? Srikkanth very rightly pointed to all the fools that it is the long term process which started under Ganguly's term. Why nobody cried for Dhoni's head when India loses so pathetically in World T 20 matches? While writing be with coomon senses. Can these fellows answer why Jadeja is still in team ? Only due to Dhoni even though he is a pathetic failure. This has been rightly implied by Srikkanth.

actually jadeja has done enough for the role of an allrounder. His rpo though not impressive is good when compared to the pathetic bowlers we have.
Also, its not only TN players that didn't get an extended run, but there are countless others who had similiar treatment netted to them. So stop crying wolf already.

But yes, Vijay's performance has been pathetic to say the least.
Karthik did ok considering he was a wicketkeeper batsman

Srikanth is stupid.
by Kavita Oberoi on Jun 07, 2010 11:49 PM  | Hide replies

Saurabh Tiwary looks to be a good batsman, consistent, can play aggressively as well as rotate the strike, is good against pace and spin and looked to be comfortable against short deliveries and is a good fielder as seen in IPL. But it puzzles me why he was not given a chance for the Zimbabwe series and directly being induced into the Indian team. He hasn't played a single match for India A or any other major teams outside India. Couldn't the selectors have waited for some more time, tested him more against good bowling attacks and then taken into the indian team if he passed the tests.

Looked comfortable against short deliveries ??? ... Are you sure u were watching the IPL ? .... He had a nightmare facing short balls. None of our new batsmen have the ability to play short balls. They can only play in IPL and thats it

because srikanth knew that if he is there in the team he will get chance to play in final 11 and then he will make his seat in permenant and his pet karthik, m.vijay will never get a chance. now he selected him because he will not get a chance to play in 11 so solwly in next tournament he will out and his pet will come back.!! this is the pure logic of junk srikanth. he did the same thing with abhisek nayer. he get a chance in wi tour played one game. not given bowling.. not get a chance for bat too.. and now he is out..

The worst player to every play for India. Can't bat, can't bowl. Was hit for six sixes in six balls. Yet he gets selcted.

Abhishek Nayar or Irfan Pathan would have been a better pick.

Even sultry and sexy Bipasha Basu can play better than him. She can bowl googlies and yorkers with tremendous precision and pace that can make any natter quake in his feet even before he takes guard.

Friend, even Yuvi got hit for 5 sixes in an over in England, and Board got hit for 6 sixes, infact is only Jadeja who has performed okay in the Zim series.

We all know that opening pair was week in Zimbabwe series. But I don't think virat and Rohit did really well though they scored runs. They were struggling to rotate the strike even after crossing 50 ( individual performance oriented). Might be good for test cricket. We have Jadeja, Rohit and Virat paying in similar style and don't think we can accommodate all three.

Indians are self oriented. Every wants to hold a place in the team and don't play as a team.
