we are calling our team no.1 in the world. what a pity. Last test we escaped innings defeat and thrashed by 10 wickets. This test also looking the same way.
With IPL, sponsors, and awards our players are the richest, do they practice and deserve it.
all the seniors to say the least are pathetic..their usual form is to do nothing and keep talking, nowadays twitter etc. when it comes to winning matches for india it is always juniors..on pitches like this everytone finds a way to get injred and have ran away..zaheer khan where as ishant has to toil hard. harbhajan now is bowling in his usual form..just when question marks are raised against his name, he starts to perform well. we need consistent bowlers not consistent talkers
I don;t understand the raionale behind the selection of B grade players Suresh Rain and Murali Vijay. I believe there are very good players who deserve chances than these two. Especially Suresh Raina is more of a one day player where as Murali Vijay is more of a Ranji player. Why cricketers like Rahane, Pujara, Rayudu or Manish Pandey are not getting the opportunities. Also I believe Yuvi needs some break from test cricket. He needs to start learning patience which is very critical in test cricket. Also our bowling attack was too pathetic. Time to look into performances of Harbajhan and I Sharma. I believe we are missing Kumble very badly.

Just how long does Yuvraj get to keep "learning"? He has now been playing 10 years and counting in various forms of the Indian national team.

So the players like Rahane, Rayudu, Manish Pandey etc are not Ranji Players...? Cut the crap Kumar. The second string of Indian players are all IPL Players. No one has sound technique to withstand International standard cricket...!!
When money comes in picture, its a test of time for temperament and commitment.. The 'young guns' including Dhoni failed that test right from 2007 onwards!
Welegedera(left-arm) creates angle for RHB, Malinga with unusual bowling action like Sohail Tanvir with fast yorkers, slow bouncers very effective, murali who can spin the ball on any dead track, herath & dilshan with their teasing deliveries..indian batting got EXPOSED.

wicket of dravid was one example how lankans have done their homework? not to add giving wide deliveries on the off-side(teasing) to shewag, am sure 10 out of 8 times he will flash his blade.

haven't seen any indian bowlers bowling yorkers like agarkar/zak/jumbo. More than 3 RPO on first day is a very good score, didn't understand why indian bowlers most of the time bowling to wicket or straight to the body of batsman ? need to frustrate the batsman to go & chase the ball, make him mistake..don't see any of these..

ishant needs to bowl coming close to the wicket to RHB, moving wide like MANOJ PRABHAKAR for LHB will be very effective..just see some videos of L.BALAJI to LHB ??

Yeah - Manoj Prabhakar is definitely what all pace bowlers should strive to become.

What are your criterion for selection to the Indian test team? Performance in Ranjis? A-team? ODIs? T20's.
If it is Ranjis and A-Team, check the record books for said players.

As ur id indicates you are surely parochial minded..why bring marathi or Bihar into discussion..name the players and their merits to qualify. Similarly, most of the people who have commented on this forum, their arguments seem to be centred around the endorsement fees some are getting...

I am definitely parochial and so are all other communities in India. Marathis have learnt the hard way that one needs to be parochial to level the playing field.
I am parochial, you are parochial (despite pretending otherwise) so let us get on with it.

India is sure to lose the series by the end of the second test series. India again landed with 4 bowlers . I can't understand y the hell do they take extra players in the team just for a tour. Same bowlers. In the next match they should go with 10 batsmen and no bowlers.

what dhoni can say after this match result?we lost because of bowlers!!!!!!!!!How many times he can say like this?keeping bhaji and ohja after their poor performances in the first test is not justifiable.ashwin and dinda should be given a chance...Mithun & ishant are clueless.we have some bowlers in the bench or not?????
