muralitharan faced tough times when he was wrongly called for throwing.. then he proved them wrong after undergoing biometrics tests. he is a great person and more than his records his commitment to the game is unparalleled. hope he stays in odis for atleast the 2011 wc...

Murali tharans' achievement though great is not without suspect action. There are people who do not approve Murali tharan's bowling action including Bishen Singh Bedi. The achievement would have been greater if it had been accomplished without any such controversial bowling action.

Muttiah Muralidharan did the magic with an unbeatable world record. Inspite of being a single Tamil Guy from Srilanka , he played his best even against India comprising Tamils. Hats off to your National Spirit.
Certainly the records some of the present day cricketers hold can not be achieved / overtaken by anybody in test cricket. 1. Test cricket is not played that much now a days. 2. How many players can continue for 15 years in the highly competitive test cricket the like Sachins or Dravids or Muralis? 3. These records of highest runs, highest number of wickets or centuries will remain forever.
The new generation will have to start looking for in the new formats like T20s or T10s (if they start such cricket).
