Once again u have proved that u r the real gentleman. By praising chuckers like murali, u have increased ur stature. This chucker is no comparision to the legend Kumble. Chuckers, Throwers and Cheats cant be considered as legends. Real legends are Kumble and Warney.
Although Muralim has said that Harbajhan is most likely to match him to break the 800 wickets haul, Harbajhan has to play for two more decades say till the age of 46 which looks impossible

By his form / attitude in the last 2 -3 years, Bhajji will need 2 more lives to reach 800!
Murali's bowling achiveents are much superior to Sachin's batting achievements though Sachin is the greatest batsman of the modern era..67 5 wkt hauls in 133 matches by Murali is superb.
muralitharan faced tough times when he was wrongly called for throwing.. then he proved them wrong after undergoing biometrics tests. he is a great person and apart from his records his commitment to the game is unparalleled. hope he stays in odis for atleast the 2011 wc... some jealous fellows may cry foul like singh bedi... then who are they to say, the icc has approved him.
The greatest test spinner in the history of mankind - forever and ever - will always be SHANE FKN WARNE!
There will not be another Murali simply because there will never be another chucking exception allowed by ICC ever in the future. Murali was the last exception (previous one being Shoaib).
There was this upcoming talented spin bowler in Sri Lanka who was bowling the same way as Murali with the same wrist action, but he was banned by ICC and then asked to come up with a new action for bowling, cuz he was not allowed to follow Murali's footsteps.
Thats cuz in Murali's case, ICC allowed him in with the clause that he was handicapped, technically speaking, where his arm bent more by default. This exception allowed him to bend it more than stipulated.
Then came the bending degree rule (15 degrees, what a joke). Then came the doosra ball chucking controversy, which no camera can detect during play. They can only test after the game in a special laboratory, where of course, Murali would bowl normally.
The fact of the matter is - he is always going to be a controversial figure in cricket - it is physically impossible to match him, simply cuz its physically impossible to be like him (handicapped).
And for those who are, remain banned by ICC, and will always be in the future - long before they could ever become stars big enough to challenge ICC on their ban, as it happened in the case of Murali.

I appreciate your thorough knowledge about Murali and ICC. But the fact here is a man has achieved the greatest height in his lifetime giving the back ground of his life and the hostility his country was facing. Infact, Sri Lankan players have got their most match practice only in other countries soil. I understand your affinity towards Shoaib and feel that, you would have appreciated Murali if ICC would have approved Shoaib's action.
Be large at heart atleast and try to appreciate human achievement. Learn to commend not comment illogically.

Well Mohammad It is not the end of the Discussion: Could you tell us who "... was this upcoming talented spin bowler in Sri Lanka who was bowling the same way as Murali with the same wrist action." We haven't heard of any such incidence taking place. Before you make your opinion you better check your own stories first.
Easy for all to comment that he had a suspect action. How many of you even bowled a ball in a match for your nation/state/county/district/village? It takes courage and skill to stand up there in the stadium and deliver. Deliver when the entire world turns up against you and calls you a chucker. So dont comment loosely. Admire the man and the history he made, admire his humility and fighting spirit and thank god that we were there to see him bowl. And please, stop comparisons. Murali, Warne and Kumble - all have been great treat to watch. Take a bow, Murali.

Great Ranjeet for your clear views. I too stand by all your statements. Indeed thats the magnanimity of a true sports lover.
There is no comparison to Kumble when spin bowling is concerned, he took so many wickets without turning the ball, imagine how many wickets he would have taken had he turned the ball, or imagine how fast is bowling would have been had he gone for full length run up as done by other fast bowlers. So you can say he was the greatest fast cum spin bowler world has ever seen, man he can be put into any category, i think he bowled faster than Kapil Dev
