The Finest Chucker Spinner and probably the 'Match-Fixing Kingpin' of Srilankan Cricket team has at last retired after amassing Crores. No doubt Mumbai shall be his first choice to settle as he has to be with TARANNUM - THE BAR DANCER, and also be with the ICC fixers Pawar-Dawood gang & all the Indian cricket Idols who are all knee-deep involved in the Multi-crore betting racket!
Our Bedi, Chandra, Prasanna & Venkat have more than 850 total wickets in test; atleast 3 of them were playing together in tests; if any one of these 4 greats would have born 30 years later & playing alone image how many wickets he must have taken; please note that none of these greats were chuckers; murali had no one to share opponents wickets & most of his wickets were of tail enders ;
For retiring from Test cricket.At least test cricket will be now without any CHUCKER.Ur retirement gave a big relief and fresh lease of life to test cricket.U will always be regarded as LEGENDARY CHUCKER.Congrats

sir , Bedi had a Competition from chandra , venkat & prasanna ; had bedi played alone he would have taken more than 1000 wickets in 133 test matches & that too without chucking.Is it wrong to call blind person ''blind''?
Great! Simply Great! What a hight, really hats off man you show your greatness to reach zenith, and even more greatness you show by leaving the cricket in this stage and age.
We can hope atleast that our ageold people will retire and will give the chance to play the younger player soon. will they get lession from this. or still they will play with their son.

Murali retired in age of 38. In last 1 year except this test his avg. is aroun 45 in test. He was too far from his best, so he decided to retire.
This is a stupendous achievement not likely to be ever broken. He deserves every accolade given to him. Can I request Rediff to eliminate personal,insulting comments that some readers exchange with each other.These take away from the seriousness or relevance of a topic discussed. If Rediff feels that the popularity of its columns are judged by the number of comments posted(most responding to each others' insults) then it is doing its more discerning readers a great disservice. A lot of readers contribute valuable discussion points regarding a particular topic but these get lost amongst a cacophony of meaningless tirade exchanged between some readers!
