Don't compare PUJARA to DRAVID. Dravid has done a tramendous job to INDIAN Cricket. We can say only few Indian cricket legendes are always evergreen with every cricket lovers mind. They are 1. Sachin tendulkar 2. Rahul Dravid 3. Anil Kumble 4. Kapil Dev 5. Ravi Shastry 6. Saurav Ganguly 7. Javagal Srinath 8. Krishnamachari Srikanth etc...SANJAY MANJREKAR / ROBIN SINGH / AJAY JADEJA / VENKATESH PRASAD/ NAYAN MONGIYA / PRABHAKAR/ VENGSARKAR/ RAGHURAM BHAT/ SYED KIRMANI/ CHETAN SHARMA/ GUNDAPPA VISHWANATH/ MK PATOUDI were also good cricketers.

No dought PUJARA is one of the emerging and energing player..ALL THE BEST to him. It is very difficult to find secured place in the team infront of our selfish selectors and captain.

According to you Krish Srikkant is a legend while Vengsarkar, Patuadi and G R Viswanath are just good cricketers?

Flush out Ashwin? WOW! The guy has played only 1-2 ODI's and has performed creditably in them and you want him flushed out. Dinesh Karthik won us the match in the Asia Cup final and he is getting into his stride in recent times. Vijay is a good talent and test cricket suits him more, but still he will do well in ODI cricket too if given the time (he has played only one ODI). Where are the Hyderabad players to perform in the ODI team? The test team has Laxman who is aging and close to retirement. Stop your regionalist nonsense.
The media is putting too much pressure on him, hailing him as the next Dravid and what not. Just leave him be. His team will come. He is only 22 years old. He should concentrate on playing in foreign conditions as that's where all the talented Indian batsmen who did well in domestic conditions have faltered. He should use this opportunity to play in A tours, where there is less pressure and particularly in Australia, South Africa and get really good against short pitch and rising deliveries.

Whole article is about him playing in foreign conditions-did you notice it? BTW he is not selecting himself for A team nor he chooses the tour destinations.

I think many people are making too much of his exclusion. It's not as if this guy will be forced to retire in a year or two. There is no slot in the Indian middle order right now as there are much more experienced and better batsmen than him. But after a year or two, there are many spots up for grabs. In the meanwhile, he should concentrate on his cricket rather than worry too much about getting selected into the Test side.

lol!! He would anyway do that without your advise. He deserved a place in test team over M Vijay.
Every one knows Pujara is far far better than Vijay Murali. But Srikanth wants to push his Tamil Nadu players. Everyone knows how scared Vijay Murali was with Fast Bowlers. I still remembered the way he was shivering while facing steyn and Co from South Africa. One bouncer stopped his heartbeat and Vijay was so keen on getting out. Also Vijay was failed miserably in last two tournaments. But still he is getting the chances and everyone knows why. Also it is unfortunate that Srikanth is giving opportunities to junk players like Dinesh karthik. Dinesh Karthik average is still low 20s even after playing 50 test matches. That too most of the matches are against Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. God knows how he is going to perform with Quality bowlers. I believe this is the time, selection committee need to flush out players like Vijay, Ashwin and Dinesh Karthk. They need to look into quality players like Pujara, Rayudu, Rahane. They need to groom these players.

sreenivasulu...DK is a WK and MV is a opening bat. Pujara is a middle order bat. Pujara should have replaced Yuvraj according to Dave Whatmore. SRT, RD and VVS will be gone in a year or two. We will see Pujara, Virat and others replacing these folks

With Sehwag and Gambhir on team do we need another opener? And if given oppertunity Pujara too can open, no big deal. Sehwag didnt come to Indian team as opener but he is now one of the best opener in the world.

bro...dinesh karthik was man of the final in the last match he played.Agreed, murali vijay has had a poor run but he deserves a decent run before getting dumped.R ashwin has been rated highly by harbhajan who i believe knows a bit about spin bowling. So stop infusing your weird zonal politics ideas.Y bring rayudu in, look at his first-class average.54 87 8 3188 210 40.35 8 16 39 .He needs to perform at the domestic level before he can get a look-in.Pujara will definetly make the cut soon.

I agree Karthik is a talented player, but is very inconsistent. Being in the Indian team, he should be consistent and reliable.
