It is time for seniors
by Ramdas Nayak on Jul 17, 2010 12:48 PM

It is time for seniors like Sachin, Dravid and Laxman to hang their boot and spend more time with their respective families. The youngsters waiting in sidelines for quite a long time and they should be allowed to play and earn.

Sir Kapil Dev
by Rajesh Sankaran on Jul 17, 2010 12:47 PM

I think we should call him as "Sir Kapil Dev". Forget about our nation and BCCI. They wont give him this much honour, but as an Indian Citizen we can give him. Anybody oppose me?

Talent is most misused words.........
by binay das on Jul 17, 2010 12:21 PM  | Hide replies

Last time we seen a great talent was Sir Sachin after that there is scarcity of talented player..........

scoring tons and tons of runs dont make any one talented but how u make runs make one genious...... but its seems now days the skill level has gone , we need more sachin and lara's......... not dravid ,pujhra "kill me to slower death" kind of players.

Dravid may be slow but he is steady. He has saved India on many occasion by his defensive play which is suited for Test Cricket. Temperament is required to play Test Cricket. Afridi of Pakistan is a striking example who in spite of scoring runs for his Country confessed of his inability to play Test Cricket.

Today's most youngsters do not fit to play Test Cricket as they are used to enjoy playing gilli danda version such as 20-20. Pujara and Rohit Sharma will be stars for Test Cricket in future.

One more year
by raj on Jul 16, 2010 06:09 PM

I think he need to wait one more year. BUt most importantly he need to keep his motivation and form going. Yuvi waited for 5 years. Everyone talk about Ausis. See Lehman /Hyden/Hussy waited 10 years. So nothing wrong. The Indian cap shd not be given easyly. He need to earn it. Once he is in then back him up. Don't though out after couple of failures. Give a chance to establish
