Cricket is highly commercialized in today's world. It is another form of entertainment. If movies and other entertainment(like stage shows) are taxed, it is pretty much valid to tax events like IPL. Other states should follow it, atleast the IPL format must be taxed. It's a pure cash-cow.

If funeral processions and cremations also commercialized and became a BUSINESS with a lot of money involved...WHY NOT?
