Re: IPL should be taxed not all forms of cricket

i don`t think that the IPL will pay, ultimately the common man has to pay. IPL will simply raise the price of ticket on the vegre of entertainment tax
Maharashtra is a state which is in the news on Rediff almost on the daily basis and almost for the wrong reason. This is just like Telangana. I think India will be much better off if we simply get rid of these two regions from our map. It should be treated like a surgical procedure in which the tumour is removed to save the rest of the body (read India).

Rajesh Tripathi, your anger about Maharashtra is understandable but not justified. While majority of Maharashtra people continue to protest against unlawful & unfortunate treatment given by some Maharatrian Politicians to people from UP and Bihar, your response like this will only help widening the gap between the people of these states. The time has come we all realize that we are becoming scapegoats to the divisive politics of these selfish politicians and unite once again. This is all that is needed to eliminate the demonic designs of these politicians. Jai Hind.

What prediction, British themselves have been incompetent and corrupt. You have a white man superiority complex. Please keep your inferiority to yourself and do not spread the disease further. As an Indian I do not find british smarter or more competent than me. You clearly do.

rehan shafi-NRI entered a restaurant and sat at the only open table. As he sat down, he knocked the spoon off the table with his elbow. A nearby waiter -AKB reached into his shirt pocket, pulled out a clean spoon, and set it on the table. The diner was impressed. "Do all the waiters here carry spoons in their pockets?"
The waiter replied, "Yes. Ever since an Efficiency Expert -Mr.Pulsar visited our restaurant... He determined that 17.8% of our diners knock the spoon off the table. By carrying clean spoons with us, we save trips to the kitchen."
The diner ate his meal. As he was paying the waiter, he commented, "Forgive the intrusion, but do you know that you have a string hanging from your fly?"
The waiter AKB replied, "Yes, we all do. Seems that the same Efficiency Expert -Mr.Pulsar determined that we spend to much time washing our hands after using the men's room.
So, the other end of that string is tied to my pen_is. When I need to go, I simply pull the string, do my thing, and then return to work. Having never touched myself, there really is no need to wash my hands. Saves a lot of time."
"Wait a minute," said the diner, "how do you get your pen_is back in your pants?"
"Well, I don't know about the other guys, but I use the spoon.":replied AKB

A welcome move! Cricket is no more just a sport in India. Its commercialization and the big money involved, with everyone making crores, its time government earned it too. Why segregate it from other entertainment industry? Moreover, IPL has no issue over paying the tax.
V in MAHARASHTRA especially Pay Highest TAX for all items, except on corruption -chanda g Ministers/Babus/Municipal/Ration/Court/Police- employees. If u compare the price of milk/ vegetables/power/petrol/housing with Delhi/Bangalore/kolkatta. We are taxed highest. Congress/NCP govt is official looters
