Bangladesh - an ordinry side
by Ravi Kiran on Jan 16, 2010 10:39 PM

India were in the same position when they started playing test cricket. It has taken them some years before they actually won a test.so there is no big deal in what SEHWAG said and I hope this statement will inspire b/gladesh to come up with some good performance and make it an even contest.

Ordinary test side
by Guest on Jan 16, 2010 10:26 PM

If Bangla even draws then it will be like a victory the ordinary b'desh team.

India cant take things lightly thou', since they have made a series win againt the west indies recently.

Good for Bangladesh to raise their confidence and good for Sehwag and few other Indian players to learn humility and dangers of underestimating opponents.

Sehwag said that BDSH can surprise in ODI but they are no match in tests. So it means he accepts that they can be good in ODI. Honestly have BDSH won any test match againt strong sides throughout their life.

Sehwag is Braindead

This guy is a Braindead. They should keep him away from the mic.. Why bring unnecessory anamocity between two countries by such statements? Defeat them comprehensively and prove it, rather then making completely offensive statements

so are you saying he should have said Bangladesh is a class test outfit? I think anyone making that comment would be considered braindead.

Nobody needs to say they're class test side and nobody else would say what Sehwag has said.. Only Braindead can say such things.

There are millions better way to say it more politely, and one doesn't need to be Class Diplomat to execute better answer.

Well I think DIPLOMACY hasnt motivated BDSH until now, maybe Sehwags comments make them go for a kill. Hope this test series generates some interest.

Frog ditches itself because of its mouth

He has to think twice before he speaks. The same bangladesh team humiliated you guys out of the disastrous world cup. You were chucked out and now some initial success makes you to speak like that. Thrown words are not taken back.

Pure e.g. of putting in comments before reading, although i am not a big fan of wat Shewag said, but he mentioned that they can upset any side in a ODI, but in test they are a poor side, and there record seconds that. Also when some OZ comes up with such comments we say that they are aggressive and indians lack that now a guy has come up with similar mind game and we start complaining

That was ODI my friend and sehwag said they they can surprise in ODI but let BDSH show some consistency in tests. Most of the time they end up losing by innings. Well best of luck to BDSH.

Whether they play poorly or not. You are in their country and you should maintain some dignity in words, Moreover if OZ speaks like that, its their character so y should we follow that. Our duty is to try and win every game we play and not fancy with the words and gain some cheap publicity, what he is doing now..

Bangladesh, a team that has won 3 out of 63 matches it has played, lost 52 of them.
the 3 matches it has won are 1 against Zinbabwe and 2 against the 2nd string West Indian side.
Leave aside winning, Bangladesh is a team that has struggled to draw a test match also. So, the statement that Bangladesh is an ordinary team is actually wrong, it should have been that Bangladesh is a very bad team. so, I think the dignity has been maintained by Sehwag by not calling them bad ;)

if it is a very bad team, they y u r fielding a best side against them. Let sehwags, tendulkars take rest and make some young players to get a chance. Let sehwag go and take rest and prepare for his future series against the mighty south africans. He will have no time to speak like this when south africans arrive. if u go and speak like this to Graeme Smith, he will trash you. Ha ha ha... A real test lies there..

I have a question for u.
U r saying that if Sehwag says the same thing to SAF they will thrash us. This means that if he does not come up with any such statement agaianst the SAf they wont thrash us. Good logic.
Keep it up :)

Trashing in the sense, countering him by words. Try to understand that. If u want pls check smith's previous press conferences.

I think u need to read twice and think twice before writing. There is a difference between ODIs and tests and c what he has said for both :)
