These three can destroy any of the big team .Apart from that name any ranji Team you will find Mumbai player playing there because of High Mumbai Standard ( OR comparatively low standrads of other teams) they cannot find place in Mumbai team

Which all top players Piyush bhaiyya? Dhoni( Jharkhand) and Raina( J&K ) do not belong to UP. Which other player from UP was there in the final? Mumbai have won Ranji finals even when half the national team used to be from Mumbai and all of them used to be away on national duty. It is the bench strength or simply the high standard of Mumbai cricket which matters most. Please learn to respect winners.

Pathetic Mumbai Team
by Jay on Jan 15, 2010 07:59 AM  | Hide replies

This same Mumbai team failed to beat EVERY visiting country's team before a test series in India. The last time the Aussies came.. they comfortably held back these fellows. The only time I remember a Mumbai team performing well against 'quality' opposition was during 1998 when Sachin played and captained the side. He made a double hundred and brutally punished Shane Warne.

I think UP Bihar Bimaru teams are PATHETIC and still they have max players in the Indian cricket side.

Masters in politics them and they play like individuals, not like a team like Mumbai does!

Go and cry, Mumbai criticisers!

Agarkar...is the best...ODI bowler we got. Prove if you disagree
by Salil on Jan 15, 2010 07:42 AM  | Hide replies

To all those who keep saying that Agarkar bowls loose deliveries, is erratic and inconsistent, then moch at him being an all rounder.
Then how can the combination of Agarkar's bowling average, economy rate and strike rate be better than anyone else who has bowled quick in Indian cricket? ....

It was never Agarkar's fault that he was projected as an allrounder. He batted up the order for his club side, and made hundreds. Wish he hadn't - for his bowling is being discredited on the basis that he should have been an allrounder.

Thanks!

PS: Talking about his batting though, he did play some quick cameos and won matches. In the current era amongst the quicks only i guess irfan pathan bats better than him.
Also not to mention, he is probably the most athletic fielder amongst all bowlers we got.

PPS: I will respond only to sensible, informed responses

like to clarify
i dont mean to say he is the all time best.
I mean he is best we got amongst all current bowlers, whoever has played international cricket.

But statistically i still maintain his combo of avg, economy and strike rate is best in our ODI history.

If i have to come up with a list of best ODI bowlers, in that order..
1. Sreenath
2. Kapil
3. Agarkar
4. Zaheer

Right, he is a match fixer, that is why he captained the Indian side that beat the mighty West Indies and won the lone World Cup.
