Wrong heading to the Column...
by sudeep sachin on Feb 23, 2010 05:52 PM  | Hide replies

As you can see in the message Dravid never told Rainas, Rohits lack the 'all-consuming' desperation for Test cricket, He particularly told like I'm not even worried about the Rainas and the Rohit Sharmas today; they've grown up in an era when Test cricket was important. But I wonder what a 14-15-16-year old today is thinking. I wonder what's going to happen five years ahead and that's why it's important to play more Test matches," Please make it sure you will give correct heading to any column. Not to make any issue

Yes you are right Sudeep. I actually did read this news on Cricinfo website and Dravid never said what rediff wants him to say.
rediff is a Feku website and is the "Rakhi Sawant" of all indian news websites. If u rediff guys have guts, publish my message.

Dravid, the last of gentlemen cricketer
by Lionel Cheetham on Feb 23, 2010 05:30 PM  | Hide replies

A truly committed cricketer who plays the game in right spirit.

Its a shame we now have new age cricketer who do a pelvis jig after getting one wicket in 5 innings.

Dravid is a back-stabber of first order, he conspired with Greg to remove Sourav from captainship so that he can become one. Good that he realized the barbs with the captain has to take. Good riddance

Save Test Cricket

Yes. Its a fact. Now a days young cricketres started getting attaracted towards T-20 cricket. Every emerging batsman wants to hit six on every ball.
Every emerging batsman wants to be in T-20 squad rather in Test Cricket.

Save Indian Test Cricket.

Too much of anything reduces it's charm and enjoyment.
Same with 20-20.. There will soon be a time, when people will get fed up of sixes and fours and come back to watch the 'real cricket' which is test match cricket.
You cannot compare a 'Banjo' David Warner or a Yusuf Pathan to a 'classical veena' like Laxman or Dravid

It's True - Mr.Dependable and Mr.Patience of Indian Cricket
by Subramanian vasan on Feb 23, 2010 05:19 PM

First of all, Congratulations to Mr.Dravid for speaking not only of his mind and also of many other true lovers of test cricket. The point is he lives by character and his words. He has conveyed what he wanted to convey in the manner he used to convey, i.e.without hurting any individual. hope rainas and rohits and our talented future cricketers take a leaf out of dravid's words as there always lies a similarity with his speech and performance as both are well-balanced and situation oriented. TRUTH DRAVID
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Feb 23, 2010 05:14 PM

One of the very few players whom I respect enormously. Don't you see the sea change - we have fewer and fewer people playing becuase of passion .Today the other fomrat earn them so much money they need not play test cricket .Take for example VVSL he does not play in one dyas and 20-20 whenever he plays tests he does so well .
Unfortunately test cricket is time consuming - my whole career of 45 years in organsiations I have seen people thru various media keep following the game today we can see live in internet .I am sure wih the type of unemployment and sudo employment we have a huge following .That is the reason many advertise in the TV. We are fast paced and we do nopt want to wait and think - that is what all the mini crickets are .
ICC ,BCCI are all commercial to the core .Frankly if test cricket dies there will be few from these organsiations who will shed a tear. Given a chance -BCCI will organsie a few hundred 20-20 and few scores of ODI .Please it is question of time - test cricket will vanish in India .
All IPL etc are nothing but business -tomorrow they may start their own sixes tourney as long as it gives them mulla.
The other aspect is betting which runs into hundreds of crores of rupees - they are not interested in test cricket for thei bet results.
Also remmember the old genre loving the game of old format are leaving the world slowly ,the genenxt is not keen .The end is near - so it is no use accept change.yes! we will misstest cricket.
