its all about perception....thats y australia and england wants security review.
Look at indias perception on a global stage....how about our reputation in the winter olympics.....its shame...

we can go as far as high as we can...but we will be perceived by our weakest link...

truth is india is a third world country and thats y australia and england can snub IPL...same situation in australia and england...they say Business as usual....no report....

guess what australia and new zealand are on stand by to host 2011 world cup....

hats off to MOTHERINDIASONIYAJI for providing adequate security and concrete steps realted to security things. this all is happening bcoz of MOTHERINDIASONIYAJIS initiativeness and which has prompted modi to look into this matter personally.

India is far better than any country. Here no one will rob visitors like in SA, no one will beat like in AUS, no one will be shot like in PAK..IPL must be played in India. SA, AUS, ENG must see their own countries and then comment or fear on safety.

Rakesh Kumar:

Can the players visit bakeries when out here? :)

Also it was too bad of Modi to arrange IPL-2 in a country where Indian players were robbed last year.. :)

Good to see that he was quick to spot his error and corrected it this year... :)

I also hope that ICC reads your post and ensures that ALL tournaments including World Cups, Champion Trophies, Ashes and all other bilateral series are moved over to the safest country in the world which is the first one to achieve a ZERO Crime rate.. ;-)

IPL 3

Aussies and the rest of the \"White Cricketing Nations\" are trying to paint India in bad light let them go to hell. If they don\'t want to play in India let the sissies go and play at home where they can beat all the Indian students. We should not be cowed down by them.
Having said that the Government of India should ensure that India is a safe country for all Indians and visitors. The standards for security certainly needs to be improved if we are to prevent a disaster in future. Any measure taken will not be too much even if it inconveniences us. We may have to sacrifice some privacy too. There may be no fool proof measure but we have to aim for such a system.

We cannot let an imbecile terrorist group and its members bring the whole country to shame. Tighten security and ensure IPL 3 is played in India with or without the players from Australia, England and other sissy nations. Let all Indians contribute to make it a success it is a matter of national pride.

There will be corporates profiting from the event but they are Indian companies so why should we grudge.

SG:

When you have made up your mind whether international players are sissies, OR whether we do have a security situation on our hands, we might indulge in a more free and frank exchange of thoughts through the written word... ;-)

Can you claim any place as 100% safe? No. Is Australia safe? Not for many Indian Students as has been proven on a number of occasions over the last more than a year. If a nation with a population less than Mumbai can't offer safety for its residents there is bound to be issues of security in India. Having said that I am certain that our security forces are more than capable of managing the security of IPL cricketers. I can say with certainty that the Aussies, Shane Warne in particular is a sissie.

SG:

So you mean to say that our own Super Heroes are sissies too, coz they chose to go out to South Africa during IPL-2? :)

Good... :)

BTW, if you try and equate terror threats to roadside muggings in shady streets during the night, then no wonder you equate international players (our Super Heroes included) to the sissy status so easily... ;-)
