i will be happy if the politicians have the same attitude towards retirement. if they can retire at the end of 2 terms as CM, party presidents, MP, cabinet minster at state or center, that would immense benefits to society.

The Begolis are bory sad because there is no Bengoli in the crikot team at present. Be all saw hob their batting stars like Manoj Tibari (I1) and LR Shulka (I2) bere - and more recently Bridhdhiman Saha (I3). The three Is (we all know what I stands for) So all they can do is hartals are cry about Gautam Gambhir.

Sehwag is extremely popular in bengal and sourav was also very fond of him...he had once said in a sree lanka tour that sehwag is a winner and he can do anything....So, stop attacking 'you bengalis', you south indians', you biharis..you marathi s etc... it makes you look stupid. (don' b a stupid , be an idiot instead , remember?)

Mr. Takuram, dont agree with your view! A batsman like Sachin knows exactly what he is doing & where he is most effective & hence when he stands by his convictions & more importantly delivers standing by them, we as a nation should respect that & salute his talnt, class & of course over the years his statesmanship! The world over people adore & respect this man, but its only us Indians who are complaining about him, what a pity indeed!

When there are specialist opening batsmen are there why sachin needs to open the innings. If veeru cant open the innings give to Murali Vijay and Gambir and I can say many are waiting. In past also so many good opening batsmen are there when sachin was playing. And about NO 4 spot... which should be given to a consistant batsmen like Sachin rather than inconsistant but onetime big innings player like Sehwag. Because if openers are not succesful NO 4 batsman is responsible to build the innings. Sehwag have longings that she could play NO4, but that dont cause any consistancy to team. I think sachin is apt as NO4 in tests. But in ODIs such a consistant batsmen is required right from the front, thats why he is opening the innings in ODI and he is succesful. When there is a succes, why we need to look for a replacement....!? See this is cricket. You can say and write anything. playing as ateam is important. When there is a succes there will be an envy.

Sehwag's open Talk
by suryanarayanan ramesh on Feb 20, 2010 08:17 AM  | Hide replies

Oh, My Dear Viru "Please Never Ever Give Emotional Statements" like this one which is very dis-appointing to millions of yours fans like me, even though I am a Sachin & Kapil's Fan.

Your statement is really worrying 4 all of us. I do not know what has made U 2 give such kind of "Emotional Touch" all of a sudden. Unless U give good start 2 any match whether it's Test cricket or 1 Day International or let it B a 20-20 piling up a good score for our Indian Team is very difficult. May B the Winning stage will B very less my Dear Outspoken Heart.

How can U let down India & the Countrymen as well our "Team India".

As Kapil & Sachin said once, "as long as U Njoy the game" I would request U 2 continue Sehwag.

I do not know whether my msg & our million Fans msg will reach U (or) Not.

This is a typical mindless fan posting his comment without thinking about what the cricketeer is trying to convey here..he wants to bat at no. 4 & he has been saying this since quite some time, the point he is making about having to field for 1.5 days & bat facing hostile bowling is indeed a huge challenge & this is something successful opening batsmen from around the world have achieved beautifully starting from our very own SMG & Srikanth to Hayden, Greenidge, Haynes & the like. What however was not required in his statements was taking the example of MSD's position in the line-up, he must remember that MSD is also keeping wickets for 1.5 hours & deserves longer rest than some of the other players for sure. It is these statements that unnecessarily stirs up questions about the unity in the team & fuels rumours that all is not well between MSD & Sehwag, as a fan I just hope this isn't true! We unfortunately do not have a good opener to accompany Gambhir at present & until we can perhaps try a few guys, we'll never know. Manish Tiwari should be nurtured to play this role & take over from Sehwag..

Viru, you are a legend in thrilling the audience. I have never seen a batsman as destructive as Viru. Gilly, Tendulkar, Richards, Gayle, Heydon, and others come in the next league. Dilshan is the only other batsman who comes close to Viru

U R right in ur views, but at the same time "do not differentiate between these 2 cricketers" since both R good 2 watch who R in the same mould.

In the meanwhile one thing, I want U 2 convey is that Dilshan starting playing like Viru off-late only but Viru has started much earlier (i.e, since his inception for Indian Team)

NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVEE GUYS!!
by manish sharma on Feb 20, 2010 04:48 AM

Guys,
just 2 things I have to say:
1. ANy game is a mental game too...With the fearlesslness of Sehwag, he easily dominates the MINDS of the bowlers who in turn defensive...SO its a practical.rewarding strategy.

2. Ia gree his style is affordable because we have a strong middle order But then guys its a TEAM GAME, we Dont need 11 Dravids Or 11 Zaheers or for that matter even 11 Sachins....A GREAT COMBINATION OF PLAYERS IS MUST!!!...so lets enjoy Sachin and lets also enjoy SEHWAG...they are not mutually exclusive !!!
