See Money Minded Sehwag

This clearly shows how many minded he is... I don't disagree, that he is planning a gracefull retirement & a very wise decision unlike tendlya who will not get kicked out as well even if he performs bad... But here's this Ladla of cricket premi's who is saying he will retire after 100 matches, what if the team needs him even after he has played 100 matches.. he has lot of cricket left in him.. in one posting he says.. he can play another 3-4 years.. and here he says only 24 more matches he will play... what does that means... Does that mean.. after he finish playing 100 tests, he would broken Sachins and Bradmans records for sure.. he has that talent... and stamena... and then after what.. retirement?... I really feel this could be a money minded move behind all his innocence... Cause he wants to earn big money by playing in IPL... after Retirement from tests ... he may play few years in ODI squad.. but he will also be available more for the clubs.. like DD and some Aussie or British T20 clubs.. and this way .. he will earn big money... I am not saying it is bad to earn money... It is good infact... Cause every has a goal to earn lot of money.. so do I ... But just thought.. that yes.. this could be a money minded move... Your views without abusive launguage are appreciated...

your views are ridiculous.

to play 24 test matches, it will take him 3-4 years, going by the number of test matches India has been playing these past few years. After 3-4 years, Sehwag will eba bout 35-36 years old. Most cricketers retire by about the age of 34-35 yrs. Sehwag will not be retiring prematurely.

an absolute jerk of an statement you have made.In fact Sehwag has set an example by declaring this, and a right one. Moreover, these are only his views, its not mandatory, who knows what will be the scenario like after 3/4 years, may be he is still needed very much or he is not needed at all.He has got full rights to plan his retirement, and career.Had he been money minded, he would have declared to play for 10 more years, and bagged a big 10 year endorsement deal!He is simple,He is honest, he is the best.Kindly do not defame him!

to play in IPL indian players do not need to quit any for of cricket. as IPL is BCCI tournament and wd never clash with other BCCI fixtures. as for other clubs, they are not significant. about 24 tests and 3-4 years, India barely play 24 tests in next 4 years at the rate they play test matches per year, it may take even longer.

as concerning Sachin, he may not be in his prime. But those who have seen that prime know that only one in a million can achieve that. we need to see whether he is good enough to play in the indian team today. 4 hundreds in 4 tests on atrot say that he may not be our best, but is is still one of our best batsmen on current form.

why do you always have to pull sachin in all your conversations??it only shows how great the little master is and also how some people like you are waiting for him to perform bad so that they can pull the genius down.by the way,do you know how to hold a cricket bat, leave aside setting records in your own mohalla.

ur analysis about him sidelining Test matches in favour of Club cricet(T20) could be true, yet seems quite far-fetched..
In all probability, he just uttered whatever stupid thought came in his mind.. i doubt if he had put serious thought before uttering this innocuous statement..

Dude.. that is a bad/wrong judgment. He is 31 and will play for another 3-4 years, which is fair decision. And considering that he want to retire after 100 tests for a nation of 1 Billion supporting just one sport, your comment hints about lack of faith on the young player or lack of talent in the country. That also for the only sport people care about.

AN INTERESTING COMMENT.
SEHWAG HAS EXPLAINED WHY HE DOES NOT USE AGGRESSION WITH CAUTION. HE IS AGGRESSION PERSONIFIED WITHOUT CAUTION. THE END RESULT WILL BE THE SAME WHETHER HE USES CAUTION OR NOT, THAT IS WHAT HE HAS SAID; AND LET US UNDERSTAND HIS PHILOSOPHY AND APPRECIATE IT.

OH NO, SACHIN SHOULD NOT RETIRE UNTIL HIS MAGIC BAG OF CENTURIES BECOMES EMPTY.

Harbhajan critics
by ramaswamy on Feb 20, 2010 12:30 PM  | Hide replies

So many messages against Bhajji in another news section prove the fact that there is so much hatred against a particular community in the minds of people of our secular country.
A man who has taken 350 wickets in tests , 600 wickets in both tests & ODIs dosent need to prove further he is a great spinner.
Those guys singing Kumble's praises, I would like to remind them that Bhajji used to play in ODIs when Kumble was there, Kumble used to be dropped from ODIs. If Kumble was such a great bowler why was Bhajji preferred over him.

The great Kapil Dev took 434 wickets in 131 tests, whereas Bhajji has taken 350 wickets in 81 tests.
Harbhajan is also a legend like Kapil and kumble, but many of our countrymen refuse to acknowledge this just because he belongs to a particular community and they fail to appreciate any good performance from him.

Mishra dint take a single wicket in his 54 overs in last test match, still not a single message against him, but we are still flooded with anti-bhajji messages even after his brilliant performance.

Sehwag's retirement........
by VASUDEVAN V on Feb 20, 2010 12:14 PM  | Hide replies

Here Sehwag has said that he will retire after 100 tests. In another posting in rediff he has said that he wants to bat at no.4 after Sachin's retirement. The very fact that Sehwag wants to retire after 100 tests shows that his dream of batting at no.4 will not come about, because Sachin will not retire till he scores 100 test hundreds and 100 one day hundreds. May be Sehwag's son can bat at no.4 after Sachin's retirement, provided Sachin's son has not reserved that spot after his dad's retirement!
